The -16s run the 40/50 KVA Generator, but its on the lower pad of the RGB. The -15s run 40KVA generators on the upper pad.

My current student is a former USMC FE, he thinks they're the same also.

The only thing I've found out is that no one knows.

What are the differences between the USAF -15s and the USNs -16s?

I watched the new movie World War Z the other day. In the movie Brad Pitt hitches a ride from a aircraft carrier on a C-130, as it's taking off it's a AN-12. Through out the movie the C-130 scene jumps back and forth between the two aircraft. I guess they need to fire the mil advisor.

The tail is 74-02071

I looked on the allherks list and it said it was 74-4704, maybe the list is wrong. I'll confirm with the data plate. It's a PI plane.

Normally when the battery is turned on you will get 4 AC and 3 DC bus off light, tie the DC bus then all three DC buses will be powered.

On tail # 74-4704 the ISO bus off light will extinguish when the battery is turned on, with out DC bus tie SW tied? The ISO off light will not press to test at this time. When the DC bus tie is tied the ESS and Main DC lights extinguish and the ISO will Press to Test. I guess this was the original operation, but was changed by a TCTO to the normal way listed above.

Does anyone know what the TCTO is that changed this or why it changed?
