AussieHercMaintainer
G'day guys, Got a problem with our flaps. We are getting an asymmetric flap brake condition at approx 10% flaps on extension. We have inspected all flap tracks, screw jacks, rods etc and all look good. Rigging seems to be all within limits. Have checked the switch units at the ends and they are free of moisture and corrosion. Condition is only happening on a steep decent into a higher altitude airport. Any suggestions on where to go from here? We are not wanting to go down the path of a full flap rig if avoidable. Great to be back in the best forum! Have a great C130 day, Tez. NATOPS1
"Condition is only happening on a steep decent into a higher altitude airport." Are the flaps being moved at higher airspeeds (IE: 220KIAS for 10%) or are they slowing to 180 and then moving the flaps to 50%?
