Railrunner130
I\'ve forgotten more of the story that I remember, but from what I understand, the DE ANG did some of that testing in the 1970\'s. It seems that it was a project contracted to a local company. Any further info?
Dan Wilson
The satellite catchers were an active duty unit stationed at Hickam. They finally shut down in the mid 80\'s (I think), the 53rd Weather at Keesler got a couple of their birds while I was there with the 7th ACCS Dan
SEFEGeorge
Spent a tour with the 6594th. Nice assignment. We had 7 JC-B\'s and 3 JHC-H\'s for recovery, if memory serves, and 3 HC-P\'s to re-fuel the choppers for down-range missions. There\'s a message somewhere in the forums that shows all the birds. Duncan
The 41st ARRS Hamilton AFB California had the mission around 1970 - 1972 we flew 4 WC130H\'s I was a crew chief there. Have a old black and white photo of the First General Ryan catching a pratice shute. The Pilot if I recall was the famous Charlie Brown.
