Guest
John, I have a conversion set to build a Talon in kit form. Which variant do you fly on ?
Guest
Although it may be too soon to say that my flying days are over, I haven't been on a C-130 flight since November 07. The aircraft type I flew on most of my years was a Combat Talon One. In earlier days I also flew many times on the Heavy Chain C-130s, and several other Special C-130 variants. I was not an active crew member, just flew for observation, analysis, training, and maintenance support, and accrued around 2,500 hours. I'm still doing systems work, and have made a few test flights on a civilian test platforms recently, but hope we get access to another C-130 in the near future to demo and test special systems upgrades. Guest
Combat Talon One, that's the MC-130E variant , I believe. If so, then tht's the variant I have the conversion set for. Sir, your flying days shouldn't be numbered. I have a deep respect for anyone flying , or has flown aboard 130s. Respectfully Sam.

Sam I have over 5000 hours in the MC-130E Combat Talon 1 Blackbird as a Aircraft Commander, Instructor & Evaluator. Flying the "black & green ugly machine" was the best 15 years of my life. The comradeship of the men and women of SOF are memories I will cherish the rest of my life. How do I obtain a comversion set for my Talon? Guest
Sir, FlightPath Accessories in England make the set. However, if you have no luck with this Company, I'd gladly post you mine. Being 50 doesn't stop my enjoying building models. The closet I'll ever come to flying in a Herk, is on my flight simulator. Let me know how you get on. Respectfully Sam My e-mail is [email protected].
Guest
Sir, How are you getting on looking for the FlightPath Detail Set ? I would willingly convert my Talon to an MC-130W Combat Spear so that you could have my set. Respectfully Sam.
Guest
Sir, I have the detail set. Would willingly send it to you. It has a resin nose and white metal Fulton nose yoke. I would convert mine to an MC-130W Combat Spear, so that you could finish your Talon. Respectfully Sam.
