Note NY Dept Contl trying to maintain contact while the A320 pilots are now concentrating on landing and no longer transmitting to them. Splashdown view was generated from the NJ side. herkman Posted February 26, 2009 Share Posted February 26, 2009 A great effort, and what I found interesting, was that the captain stated that he had been practicing for emergency situation all his flying career. Looking at the video, he really did not have much time to plan and execute this exercise. A nice bit of flying and it had a happy ending. Luck did not feature in that exercise, just a great effort by a professional. Any way why am I saying this, would we expect less, he war trained by the best flying club in the world.
