Railrunner130
What's the latest on the AMP program? I thought I heard that it was stalled. I know the original test airplanes were sent to PDM to be upgraded to a standard and returned to the Air Force.
AMPTestFE
Yes, the first three were in PDM, as planned from long ago, so they are able to go into OT&E and training with a fresh calendar. They're also going to California to get some engineering changes to be brought up to the most current production configuration. We're still waiting on AMP 1 to get outta Georgia. Last I knew, they figured out the dry bay panels need to be installed PRIOR to flight (and the exceptional release), and waiting for paint. AMPs 2 & 3 are in California, with AMP 2 scheduled to return to LRF pretty soon. AMPs 4, 5 & 6 are in modification at WRAFB.

bischoffm
Initially the fleet including alot of E's were to have been converted by now. I won't hold my breath on when this mod will ever get done. (maybe by 2020!!!)
