  1. When this happen, it is usually due to one or more disk warping and binding on the rim key ways. I have encounter this a few times, and the tug or just a few friend kicking the crap out of the tire sometimes work; the easiest way I have found is to take a impact gun with a chisel bit to the nut that hold the brake together, NOT THE NUT THAT HOLD THE BRAKE TO THE AXLE UNLESS YOU WANT TO DO A STRUT CHANGE. Then the wheel and the outboard part of the brake will slide right off. If the disk hang up once after a few heat cycle it is more likely to happen again. Swapping the brake is a whole lot easier. Take it or leave it.

  2. A Herk screaming thru the trees on a low level can have that effect on the untrained eye. Here another report from Kentucky last year. http://roger3000.newsvine.com/_news/2007/05/15/720948-no-plane-crash-in-kentucky-breaking-news-has-happy-ending

I personally Love to hear those 4 Hamilton Standard / T-56 combos singing; with the rush of air, either from the ground or it\'s even better hanging out the on the ramp or an open troop door.

Or it bumps the airflow around the dispensers so that the covers aren\'t constantly being ripped off.

How do the rest of the panels stay on the aircraft?

  4. I remember when the Air Force rearranged all the flying squadron numbers, and we flew out to California to pickup the 53AS assets which were in storage, I was the First Little Rock maintainer to wear the 53rd patch as we flew home, proud of it too. However maybe now that the AMC units will outnumber the AETC units at Little Rock, they\'ll move the base back to AMC where it belongs. With Pope\'s BRAC and the Dorf\'s conversion to flying Barneys, I don\'t see the Little Rock staying in AETC. I got to da Rock Jan 85, 314 TAW, and departed in Jun 04, from the 463 AG, I work the flight line the entire time, and LOVE it, I sure would Love to see Little Rock back in AMC.
