1505's were still issued when my buddy went to basic in May of 75 but were not when I went in Sept 75. I think you could still wear them through late in 1976.

Had a similar incident happen to a Pittsburgh H model '86-0419' at Roosevelt Roads. If I remember correctly, the front right main strut came apart hanging by the torque strut from the aft gear. Gear collapsed when they landed and threw parts of number 4 prop through the fuselage. Nobody hurt but lots of damage.

It is tail 86-0412, former Pittsburgh airframe now assigned to the 440th at Bragg/Pope.

440th Air Wing is setting up shop now and does have some maintenance in place. Had a Pope Brag C-130 at Pittsburgh the other day to drop off aircrews to pick up some airplanes for reassignment.

I have a question on the 3 bladed prop. What was the diameter of the prop and did it run a the same speed and torque as the 4 blade model?
