Sounds like an act of desperation..... assests are needed now, but future plans for new MDS's are falling like sand thru their fingers. Our troops talent without the proper tools is such a waste.

Oh, yeah. That was the little bit that I forgot about. And I thought to myself... why they would give up a newer a/c for an older one?- which they weren\'t. Seems as though the H\'s were coming from either Alaska or Dyess. I\'ve lost WAY too many brain cells to remember more than this. My how the time goes by. Bob

Hate to see another one put away for good. I remember while I was at Yokota 1986-1990 (316/374 FMS)and the guard or reserve was swapping out their C-130s (Hs?) for our Es. I was with a handful of their techicians on a hardstand and you should have heard them whine when Bunch O\'sevens called an IFE for one of the engines. I do admit that their birds were nicer because they were newer. Bob

ISR : intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance I.E.... RC-135, EC-135, JSTARS, GUARDRAIL, EP-3 and I\'m sure a whole bunch of others including the C-130 Hate to see the a/c in such bad shape.... I guess without planes, the Air Force is just, well, \"The Army\". Bob -
Wow, Hate to hear of another one heading to Tucson. Worked this one as Com Nav between 1986 and 1990 at Yokota and was very surprised to work (and see) her again as a civilian a couple of years back in Ramstein. A lot of history being put to rest. Too bad this one couldn\'t be used a static display at one of the bases or a museum. Bob
