topboltsto400
Cool video, thanks for sharing. I get a kick out of seeing some of that nostalgic AF stuff, particularly seeing friends having fun in some place that isn't home. Been doing the Afghan/Iraq thing past few years, coolest spot is the smokepit..
Old Talon 1 F/E
Great Video. It brought alot of good memories. I was there in 68-69 before most of the fancy stuff was there.
Guest
I thought the both videos (part 1 and part 2) were very well done--and I enjoyed the music, too. My visits to CCK in 1969/1970 on TDYs were like R & R, although we always had work to do on Special Systems on-board the Combat Talon 1 airplanes. With the maintenance priority focusing on Phase Inspections and repairs, the only time we could get on the airplanes was typically from midnight to 5:00am, and as my memory serves me, it was usually raining. I always looked forward to an omlette for breakfast at the Base Ops Cafeteria; couldn't get food like that in Vietnam.....Memories..... INS/Dopplertroop
Aren't those great? Bring back loads of memories. Thanks for posting the link Frank. I invite you to checkout Jim Dwyer's group site "CCK Air Base Taichung Taiwan" on facebook. Some good interchange there. I don't know if you recall CMSgt "Charlie" Brown, the Mayor of CCK. His son Paul did most of his growing up in the Taichung American community. He has posted some of his families video and remembrances. wukong
Great video, my fondest memories of CCK were the evening strolls down Chung Hwa road at the "night markets" with Lily.

SamMcGowan
Go to the Links page on www.troopcarrier.org and you'll find links to a number of official government films. If you do a search on some of the sites, you'll be surprised what you'll turn up.
Smokey
Great memories of CCK, thanks for the link...Bob Hope was there just after I left CCK in July 69. Most of his jokes may only be appreciated if you were familiar with the C-130's.
