C130Hcc
The U.S. news media reported fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan on March 3, but said nothing about the Horn of Africa, where AC-130 gunships of Air Force Special Operations Command have been quietly helping in a small-scale, unorthodox war against extremists. CCFH
Quiet thats what AFSOC is. Keep the glory hounds in thier little fighters, and make bad movies about them ha ha. You will never have a better acft than the fabulous four engine fighter!
JPVD
I'm not sure about this, but if I'm not mistaken an AC-130A was standing-by at Assencion Island, during operation "Red Bean" in 1978, the second Shaba War in Kolwezi. I'll try to check this out !
damnpoor
When I was at Camp Lemonier I heard stories of ACs that stopped by but never saw any myself.
