EClark
The one piece I did not like to use was the LOX Cart something about the LOX and oil not liking each other. One other thing is ground pressure check on the plane. I could just see that plane blowing to bit's.
nascarpop
I was always amazed how the skin would swell during ground pressurization. I always stood waaaay back as far as I could!
donwon
One friend at the time got burned pretty bad at Clark using that LOX cart. Spector can fill you in on it. That was in 64.
Mt.crewchief
I never did like servicing oxygen on either the A's at Naha (not LOX), or the E's at CCK! The funny thing was the safety procedures involved with each system. At CCK we had to wear gloves, face-shields, use a drip pan and ground the cart to service LOX. At CRB if the plane came back with a LOX write up we had to service it!!! We would get the LOX cart delivered to the plane with no gloves, no shield, and no drip pan and of course no grounding equip! We serviced it anyway! No accidents, but there sure should have been. Also had to change a LOX Converter at CRB once. Also, the MD3's at CRB usually didn't work properly and blew sparks out of the exhaust and backfired a lot. Also the self propelled feature rarely worked. No wonder I developed a hernia in my later years!!!!! Ken
