Sarg
Back in 69', someone made a song called the "Black Berets" that was sung to the Ballad of the Green Berets music. If anyone has a copy of that, I'd really like to hear from you. Thanks, Sarg
Mt.crewchief
Hey Sarg, I remember hearing that song I think!! I think at that time some of the Blind Bat guys were wearing the black beret!!!! When I was on a Blind Bat crew in 68, nobody was wearing them!!! Am I correct in thinking the words were in reference to the Blind Bat mission?? By the way, welcome to the forum, Ken
Sonny
Ken, The berets were around in '68. I still have mine but never wore it. Would love to hear the song. Sonny

tinwhistle
Hi Sarge, welcome to the forum I spent a great deal of time last night researching the "Black Beret" song. The only thing I came up referenced a song titled "Black Beret" that that was in sympathy with the IRA of the 1970s, and certainly was not played to the tune of the "Ballad of the Green Beret", by Sadler!!!!! Let us all know if and when you find it. tinwhistle
