herky400M
Gents, in the technical manual, you have to check the fuel flow vs torque vs power setting vs altitude vs out side temp. Any way, it's a graphic used to see how much fuel flow we should have at a certain power setting. a lot of our fuel flow, or consumption is indicating out of the range, always to much.... does anyone have the same problem? any comments... please (T56-A-15) thx:cool: b
Lkuest
If your turbines are undamaged, and TIT indication systems are functioning properly, then the problem has to be in the fuel flow indication side. I never liked the fuel flow indication system. We had an engine that constantly showed higher fuel flow then the rest of the engines, but we changed the entire TIT indication system and the fuel flow indication system, as well as inspected for turbine damage, and nothing fixed anything. We ended up just saying we had no throttle alignment limit for fuel flow and left it at that. It was like that for so long, it went to the boneyard like that with no other problems or resulting engine damage. Crane Aero has a new fuel flow indication system you might check out called MFFIS. They claim it's more reliable, so it might be worth a checkout, that is, if fuel flow indication is your problem.
NATOPS1
a lot of our fuel flow, or consumption is indicating out of the range, always to much.... b How are you tracking your "fuel flow, or consumption"? Set your power get your numbers and then compare with the chart. Then run the engine or track consumption and see if your numbers match. You will need EXACT numbers for engine performance, pressure altitude and oat/temp deviation, gross weight... Remember all fuel flow gages (fuel flow transmitters) have the same power source. Check the voltage output of your MC-1power supply as higher voltage will cause an increase in fuel flow indication as lower voltage output (more common) will cause a lower fuel flow indication... I have seen this (higher voltage output) only once....
