bobdaley
I am thinking about taking a road trip to Sheppard. Is anyone on the board stationed there now? I'd like to check out the herks and take some pictures. I have my current military ID.Also does anyone know either the telephone number or an e mail address for the contractors office that controls the herks?ThanksBob
larry myers
Good Morning Bob,I was out at WPAFB area B yesterday and spotted an ex-Little Rock herc parked in front of the restoration hanger. Didn't get the tail number but if you need it let me know and I'll get it for you.Best Regards,MyersHi LarryI got some good pics of 62-1787 last month, an ex Little Rock bird, outside the Museum. I did not see one by the restoration hangar. If you get a chance could you get the tail number of the other one.BTW we missed you at the 316th Reunion this year.Bob Edited October 22, 2015 by bobdaley

mark18mwm
Bob, according to the caption in a picture on "Airliners.net" it says 53-3131 was broke up at Sheppard AFB in 86. It was a crew chief trainer when I was there in 83 Some place around here I have some pictures of it, first 130 I got hands on. Here is a link to the Airliners.net http://www.airliners.net/search/photo.search?regsearch=53-3131&distinct_entry=true
bobdaley
Hi MarkAirliners is incorrect on this one. I took a trip to Sheppard around 2004.53-3131 was still being used as an aeromed trainer in a lot over by the civilian terminal.I don't know how to attach pics but 2 pics I took of it then are in the Gallery 3003 and 3003B.I know it was there with 58-0727 about 2011 then 727 went to Camp Bullis near SAT as an Aeromed trainer, 61-2361 came over to that lot at Sheppard and 53-3131 disappeared.BobBTW 74-1658 just arrived at Wright Patt for use as an Aeromed trainer
mark18mwm
Ok thanks for the info, well I hope she is still around some place. As I said, she was the first 130 I got my hands on. The last one I was on was 62-1819, I was CC on her, she is gone, crushed at DM . Thanks, I'm actually glad to find out I was wrong this time, HaHa.
