It was 4593
Last I heard the Phillipine AF had only 3 Flyable Herks, and recently only 2 had been flying, including the one that crashed. I also heard that they were planning on selling for scrap all the ones in the boneyard at Mactan.

The plane was a C130H from Dyess modified to a YMC-130H.
They were going to build 3.
74-1683 crashed, 74-1686 is on display at Robins AFB in the YMC configuration. 74-2065 was demoded to a C-130H and returned to Dyess.
Bob
There was a Columbian Herk 1003 LAC #3572 that ditched about 200 miles East of Cape May NJ, that would be pretty deep. I never heard of a Peruvian?

Someone asked if there were any other divable C-130\'s.
The Marines sank a USN F, 149801, and a Marine KCF, 150684,14 miles SW of Morehead City NC to dive on. They are at 34 33.38N and 76 51.22W

Dan,
Yes it could be old.
Sonny the two at the other end are A model 53-3131 in good shape and a B 58-0727 used for Aeromed training.
I know that
54-1621 was scrapped
56-0469 is a gunner trainer at Hurlburt
57-0489 is a Load tainer at Fort Lee
61-2364 and 62-1794 were sent to Goodfellow as trainers
64-0500 was sold as scrap
64-0557 was sunk for divers.
and I was wondering if any of the other 20 Herks they had were disposed of?
Bob
Hi
I was looking at Google Earth and saw 3 Herks being scrapped up at the North End of the Base.
Anyone know which ones they are?
Thanks
Bob
Have they got any new ones to replace them?
I checked the Gallery and could not find any missing pictures.
I also checked all the USCG Hek pics in the range you were asking about and there were no white tail USCG Herks there.
my address is [email protected]
Sorry I can\'t be more help.
Bob
