  1. That was Martinsburg Wv Guard,in the panhandle of the state , They were replacing their \"B\" Models with E\'s at that time period.

Quad 7\'s was one of the good ones , but you should hear the Horror stories about some of the others.

  2. HMMMM as the externals provide a down force on the wings to help with loading, are the \"j\"\'s gonna have wing problems such as we had in the 80\'s?

Or is it to keep flying time down to crew duty day as it would be hard to get 4 Zero\'s in the cockpit at one time.

  3. Now what differentiates the Reserve force J\'s from the AD, Remember the reserve force acft are , in some cases ten years old, and have been flying in the AOR for quite a time, Is it because of the Ute rate? or because of the care of the acft?

  4. What a load of ACTIVE DUTY BULL S$$T.

And where is the Extra Prop Mounted?

The person who wrote this crock must use it to blow all his hot air away.

Baltimore Guard and Keesler Reserve Have developed the J not Little Rock.

If this propaganda is what the Political AF is cramming down newbie\'s throats. \"sorry\" .

  5. First thing get it straight, Lox does not burn or explode. It was the grease that exploded aided by the oxygenating liquid.

I was on B-47\'s in the late 50\'s and serviced many converters . Our little gig was to get the pincer bugs in the drip pan and cover them with lox, take the frozen bug and throw it ,it would shatter in a million pieces.

  6. Now , only the H2/3\'s are to be modified, Really doesn\'t make a bit of sense.

For quite a long time you are creating yet another variation that has to be taught. The reserve forces that \"own\" (sic) these acft have flown together in every conflict since Desert Shield. Kinda dumb, and a waste of money don\'t you think?

  7. AS I have \"ranted\" for years the Reserve forces, being comprised of mostly civilian members that have had to \"work a real job\" for a living and who know how to pinch a penny or two had the foresight to procure thru their congressmen the proper equipment for their forces. Then comes BRAC, the Active duty\'s method to strip these assets and try to cover for it\'s lack of forsight.

SO SAD , Who suffers, The great crews and Maintenance folks that have to maintain and fly these worn out pieces of equipment.

It\'s funny that most of the E\'s flying have come from the reserve forces and have been rebuilt over the years using reserve force money.

  8. 62-1788 arrived at Charleston Wv to the WVANG in December of 1975 with a little over 11000 hours on her. Always flew a little crooked but was very reliable. If you saw it at Pope it was because we did a whole bunch of JATT in that time period.

Msgt Simmons was the crewchief on this acft from arrival till we sent her off in 1986. I logged over 800 hours in this acft. The acft went to Minneapolis for a short stint then to Little Rock ANG. This acft along with 62-1804 and 1824 were the best of the 8 we got from CCK.

    Properly maintained acft last!!!

  9. AS I have said for years, Lockgreed is out for the almighty dollar, only,

It shows in both the C-5 and the C-130 Engines that do not live to expected life, outer wings that crack, center wing boxes that are crap and known about for 40 years. What a scam.
