  1. uh...i dont know if it was operator error or what (I do think it is 99 percent OE) I tried to upload an image several times. I followed the steps - but nothin. Or at least nothin I can see.

It does say "You have used a total of 2.36 MB space out of Unlimited space allowed."

But I cannot see it anywhere.

I know I clicked art at one point. So there may be a file there.

There is no "congratulations - you have successfully uploaded a pic" type message. It just spits me back to the "upload image" page thingy.

I'll leave, empty junks, and return see if that works.

Otherwise - I apologize for the mulitplicates of the sticker.

Multiplicates = plural of duplicates. :P

  2. {crabby} a more detailed link would have been nice. That places' search is super slow (and I'm on high speed) and requires me to input captcha. I typed in "posers" and a whole bunch of threads popped up. I figured it was the most recent one that corresponds to your post though and have deducted it was "hairy eye balls". Is that correct? {/crabby}

  3. Hi, if one want to buy used Herk, ex-military or L-100 , what will be the ~price?

    best regards

    J.

Thinking that it would make an awesome RV? Huh?

Be like those elderly people that "RV" in a dinky little cessna. Who have to rent a car and hotel room, for every stop they make. Where as with a herk, you can bring your own transportation and you have a nice little hammock to sleep in at night.

  4. lol - I think you should just leave the pencils in. No need for a bubble. :)

My father used to draw and draw. All sorts of ciomics that related to his job.

that was where I learned the "It was like that when I got here." and "If all else fails. Pin the rap of the new guy."

  5. attachment.php?attachmentid=221&stc=1&th

LMAO *that is now my new desktop. :D

I love how casual he is about it.

that could have also been "It was like that when I got here."

  6. looks like a photo shop to me :0) kinda low. .

I do not think so. It looks to be from a newspaper type image. Or it was taken with an old fashioned camera.

I also opened it up in photoshop and fiddled with things that would show tell tale signs of "shoppage" and they were not there.

Either it is an extremly professionally done "chop" or it is the real thing.

  7. As the famous internet saying goes "Pics - or it didn't happen." :P

The long and lat are there. Call ahead and I'll get the camera out.

  8. Pretty sure they do this exclusively at Kirtland. Although, those trees don't look like your typical New Mexican variety, but who knows.

even though it has been answered - Kirtland's testing area has like zero trees, but lots of concrete. There is an "elephant cage", but I do not think they have done testing out there in a loooong time.

  9. A barrell roll in a 130 ?

    NICE !!!!!!

    heh - my sig .

Occassionally a herk will fly low over the house rattling the windows. I have kind of grown bored with that. Which is why that maybe on the off chance they are reading the boards, they will step up their game a bit.

They are going to have to step up their game though. The V22's (bastard child of a C130 and a helicopter) that are doing their touch n' gos at the nearby airport, have been a little lower and have rattled the dishes in the cabinets.

  10. Casey,

How many civvies are there on this site ?

I'm talking to two former C-130 crew members, but feel out of place with all these Service Personel here.

    Respectfully

    Sam.

I am a civilian. But my father was an aerospace engineer (read that as a fancy way of saying aircraft mechanic) for the AF, specifically for c130's at CCK and Clark. So I grew up with them.

I just like them. They are the greatest plane ever. The stories about them. The crews who flew them. They are like family members. And some of the ones my father worked on, are still up in the air. I do not think you can say that about many other aircraft.

I wish they built cars like they built hercs. :/

  11. Gentlemen,

Today I got a new job....flying the Mahogany Transport.

I've become my worst nightmare....a pen pusher.

    But I'm working.

    Respectfully

    Sam.

    Sorry to hear. :(

You could become an Adolescent Transportation Logistics Engineer like myself?

The hours can be great if you like to take the occassional nap during the late morning.

  12. I cant share any survival school story - but I remember a special thing from being in Girl Scouts @ Clark.

Our little troop got to participate in a small "jungle survival" school. It was taught by the instructors from the JSS. We got to learn a different set of skills than any other girl scouts would be learning in the US.

Our instructors made a joke about how the Girl Scouts were the same as the airmen learning jungle survival. Both are dressed in green. Except one is shorter and does not carry a gun.

We only learned the "how to walk around the jungle and not die", not the E&E. We did get to see a Jolly Green.

To this day I still remember how to make cups out of bamboo.

Along with the Girl Scout motto of "Be Prepared" we tacked on "Learn and Return."

  13. When I was at clark They started building a new Gate.

From where we stayed in the Trasit Chicken Coops, I remember haveing to ride to the main gate. On the way we passed the construction of another gate.

I heard later the Philipones had built the gate and stole a Fire Truck

and drove it out that gate.

OMG!!! the tale of the fire truck lives on!!

  14. MANY MANY Thanks for the find. :)

I had downloaded that a while back and packaged it as notes in my ipod so I could read it later. And when the packager finished it did not include info as to the source, and it left the last ten pages out.

I had been looking for the last ten pages. But I could not remember where I had found that pdf.

    Thanks.

I was under the impression that the bulk of AA\'s fleet were c-123 provider\'s, until I had read that..well the first twenty pages. Now I can finish reading.
