Is this the only C-130 that had six engines if so it should be saved if at all possible don't you think

I went to a service this morning I was part of the Honor Guard it was a good service keep all of the men and women who serve in are prays

The Knights of Columbus of Ga. are giving 130 wheelchairs to the veterans homes in Ga. they will give 40 to the Dublin Home 4o to Agusta Home and 40 to Norwood home and 10 for the Knight Vets that need them this was a big undertaking and I'am proud to be part of it

I wasn't there when you were I was there 66-69 in the 61st I loved Sewart it was a great place but all good things come to a end

I think 64-0539 was at Sewart in the 61st while I was there I hated to see her in that predicament she looked pretty beat up

If your Maints. N.C.O.'s are ok with it and the flight crews then I suggest a drip pan. Or you can have it took out and run on a test stand and check for leaks

I don't know about now but we use to have to prime the ones that was hard to start you had reach down and push the chech valve primer it was a little dangerous

Is it leaking fuel are oil I think you can tell the differance I don't think we had a problem in the old days with them leaking

These are some real good pics. in the last pic the plane behind the C-47 is it a 46 brings back old memories.when I first went to Sewart there was a real shinny C-47 that very seldom went anywhere

Lajes did have a good chow hall I won my first jackpot on a slot mach. in the transit barracks The best chow hall I eat in was where the Gunnie. birds was I think it was Middway maybe not Lajes was pretty from the air

I guess I'am a old timer went through Lajes many a time going to Mildenhall if I remember it was quite pretty there I was in the 61stTAS at Sewart 66-69

Eric thanks alot for severing this great nation if you are planning a second career times are hard and they are talking about cutting the defence budget so that means the civil service jobs are going to be hard to find maybe muff is right a few more years might be the best bet best wishes in your future

I was at Sewart and we did a lot of training when was not doing combat flying I liked to launch the plane than recover becauce they liked to used the red pencil because they could and would but that was all part of crewing. And the eggburgers were better before daylite at the Flt.line snack bar
