Hello everyone and happy new year, I would like to know if there are many nations that preserve propellers on aircraft. If so, what are the deadlines? How long, can we leave a propeller on an immobilized aircraft without preserving it? ASB 157 is used for the return to service of the blades, maybe you use other documentation? If so, which one? Thank you for your answers.

Yes, during runnup is normal, the brake release. When the engine shutdown, the brake was inoperated.- 3 replies

After installation of prop assy on the prop shaft, the propeller turn in opposite direction. 1) Magnetics plugs checks on Gearbox but they are perfect, no traces of metal particles. 2) To be sure, we had fushed the gearbox : after this operation, the prop brake works by manual action. 3) On the other hand during the runnup, the prop brake no longer works. 4) The magnetic plugs are still correct. Why did the prop brake work after flushing ? But no longer work after ? What is the cause or problem with the brake ? Thank u in advance for your answer...

Preservation propeller and storage

Hello, i have a another problem, ASB 54H60-61-A157 say a propeller is adequately preserved if the propeller is rotated once in 2 month. But the preservation in P5059 is it necessary for have a adequately preserved propeller or just a rotation ? And last question, a aircraft immobilized for check may be considered like an active aircraft (term in ASB) ? Thanks for your responce. -
Hi, when should we preserve a propeller on an airplane? After how many days of aircraft immobilization, do you start preserving a propeller? Preservation is planned for checks but is it necessary for immobilization of less than 15 days or 1 month or 2 months?

I understand, it's not in "Hg. I want just to have the pressure values for a inlet pressure (between 30 to 35 PSI) of APU, like asked in the work card. I think the values of card are false for application on aircraft. I researche the limits values in the pressure sensing line when start engine with APU ?
-
It's not for a specific starting problem but it's planned for maintenance of "C"-Check. I see in TO for test of Start Valve, with a inlet pressure of 150 PSI, max regulated air pressure is 42 PSI and the mini 36.5 with inlet pressure of 45 PSI. Not in In/Hg, sure. We can't have a regulated pressure superior at the inlet pressure. But actually APU provides a inlet pressure between 30 to 35 PSI, what is the regulated air pressure ? More precisely in the pressure sensing line.

For Starter and air control valve operational check, WE connect a gauge with a tee to the Starter sensing line. (SMP515C - SP213) APU fournish 35 psig When engine start, WE must observe at the pressure gauge, a pressure between 36.5 and 42 psig. But i dont know is psig may be inch/Hg ? Because air pressure is always under this limites. If is psig what is the problem? But if it's in/Hg, the pressure is good. Thanks

After adjustment of pneumatic thermostat at 620°C and RPM at 100%, we have a pressure at 21 psig max. (With 2 cc pack). The adjustment of air pressure regulator may be doing only with analyzer APU ? If the compressor was eroded, the pressure was under 22 psig for start engine like with 2 cc pack ? Do know if exist documentation on APU compressor liquid wash like engine (SP240) ? Thanks

APU GTCP85-180L run normally. Bleed air check > 35 psig For starting engine, pressure at pressure gage is superior to 30 psig. But with air conditionning cargo ans flight station comp on norm position, the pressure is under 22 psig. The EGT is adjust to 620°c RPM to 100%. Bleed air valve APU is checked. After that, the pressure is always under 22 psig. With only one air conditionning comp, how much is the pressure drop ? Thanks

Thank you I had a second info and when we set the cargo switch and air cond shutoff switch to OFF, the breaker is also triggered after 2 seconds. After a little more in-depth research, we think Flow control shutoff valve cargo, it remains open and trips the breaker when closing. We're going to test the power line just in case, but we're going to replace the valve. -
At the end of the flight, when the aircraft is reconditioned: When I set the Air conditioning Master Switch to OFF or AUX VENT, the breaker cabin press and AUX Vent triggers after 2 seconds. On positions NO PRESS, PRESS MAN or AUTO PRESS, the breaker does not trip ... I have a doubt about a piece of equipment but I would like to have your avionics opinion. Thank you
