bobdaley
Hi I just got an update on the J's and had a couple of questions? Two Baltimore J's 97-1352 and 98-1355 were reported as flying with the 48AS? A while back it was reported that Baltimore would be BRAC'd and its J's would go to the 48 AS since they were going to use the short J's as trainers. Is this what is happening or are the J's just there on loan? When is Baltimore going to lose all its J's? 94-8152 was reported as returned to Channel Island from 48AS. That did not seem to make sense since it is a short J and CI already has 8 J-30's. Also heard that St Joe MO was going to get 8 H2.5's from Mansfield and give up its H2's The H2's were mentioned as going to San Juan or Little Rock? Railrunner130
I can't comment too much because I really don't know. But I think 94-8152 would've originally belonged to the Flying Jennies at Keesler. Does that make more sense?
StovetopNav
Bob, not aware of any stubbys going back to CI, sounds like a bad rumour, or maybe one went there for some temp purpose. Plan is for all stubbys to end up in 48 AS (plus some stretches); those 2 Baltimore tails are permanent for LR. BRAC law says all Baltimore Js out by Sep 2011. It would make sense that St Joe's birds would go to LR ANG to replace Es.
bobdaley
94-8152 originally went to Keesler, Then to Channel I when Keesler got 8 J-30's, then to 48 AS when CI got 8 J-30's and it did not make sense to me for it to go back to CI Bob
