bobdaley
Do you know where it will be displayed? Thanks Bob
SonnyJ
If my list is correct this leaves three '61 birds left flying. 61-2358, 61-2370, and 61-2372.
bobdaley
That is what I have. Those first 16 E's were interesting. Not only were they the last with Forward Cargo Doors, but 7 became DC-130's, 3 WC-130's, 1 JC-130. All but the WC's were converted back to slicks. The DC's and WC's are all gone. Lkuest
Interestingly enough, 2358 has some of the lowest flight hours of most of our E's, despite being the first one.
bobdaley
Yes as a test bird, JC-130, it flew very little in AFSC. Bob
SonnyJ
I didn't catch that. The other two birds have nearly 10,000 hours more that 2358.
Hangar Rat
Bob...eventually it will be on display at the Guard base in Charlotte. The logistics of that are still being hammered out i believe.

xxxotiknightz
I know this is an old thread, but I recently was made ACC on 61-2358. I love this plane.
Railrunner130
I was through Charlotte a few months ago. They had a SEA-painted bird in the nose dock. I didn't catch the tail number. Anyone know the story there?
C130Hcc
The plane will be on display at Charlotte ANG base along with the F-86 (from the Korean period) and memorial monument to past guard members. The plane is painted in the SEA colors and was changed to a "B" model to represent the planes that were deployed from Charlotte during Vietnam. The plane will be dedicated on 1 Oct 2010. Plaprad
Where are they gonna put her? I saw the F-86 last time I was home, very nice. I remember her sitting in 51 for the entire time I was there.
