Who has the GTC doors? I guess this is gonna be newer than an "A".

My wife and daughter were at Ann Marie Island last week. They might have got to see the show had they stayed another week.

If its got a stretcher behind the 245 I got dibs on it.
Might have to get a latter to climb into it now.

Borrowed from Mauser Medic.

Enjoy, I did. Thanks.

I watched this on the Weather Channel last night. Very interesting for me.
I think it is a new series.

One friend at the time got burned pretty bad at Clark using that LOX cart. Spector can fill you in on it. That was in 64.
-
Either way is fine with me.

I know rong forum, but what has happened to her.

Ken that does sound like the 468 that was at Sewart.
That is the one that had the Flt deck painted red at one time. I think Specter, Bill told me about it.
It surprises me that it would make it to Naha.
Pappy Hayse was the CC and Red Hutchens was an assistant and I was one of the third wipers.
I think it had something like around 1800 flying hours on it when I got to Sewart, and most of the other "A"s had around 2500 hrs.or more.

I never head of the troop door steps till this thread.
I used many rattle cans of gray spray paint on the ramp upper and lower doors and all around the back inside of the planes.
We also stored C rations in the upper door.
-
Ken I think 56-468 did not make it to Naha.
That was my first plane at Sewart after I got out of Tec school. Well It may have made it over there after I got out in Nov.66.
Someone told me it was totaled at Ft Campbell in 86 due to a runaway prop on landing .
I don't remember the group you are talking about but that don't mean nothing.
-
Awww, you old guys...pulled chocks for the Wright brothers, I bet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LMAO!!!!!!!!!
Giz
Well Pappy Hayse did stand fire guard for them.
-
Most times we loaded through the crew door, unless we were at Ft Campbell then they loaded via the ramp and deplaned via the jump doors.
-
Thanks for the Vids.
-
No problem and I really enjoyed them.

While I was in SEA, I was given 1 copy of orders to carry with me and I folded it and kept it in my back pocket.
I had to turn it in with my prediem when I got back to where I was stationed.
How I got to hold onto this one copy is beyond me. It was never folded and was in my blue portfolio and looking at each indivigal
piece of paper I did come across this one copy. For once luck was on my side.

That one Jeep don't look like our Jeeps.
I don't remember seeing Jungle Boots or Camo uniforms till 66.I see none there.
That rifel don't look like an M16 to me.
I see Mel on the right in front of that Jeep with a white strip over his right pocket and something shiney on or over his left pocket
and a soft cap on.
I can't get the picture big enough to see it real good.
-
I only saw the panels on the "A,s) and that don't look nothing like one.

While looking through some of the Gallery this morning I came across this picture. Some of the younger ones may not have been around to remember these.
I hope Bob don't mind me trying to post it out here.

This is a picture showes the steering wheel for the nose gear.
Someone told me the Co Pilot did the steering while on the ground.

My wife and daughters wouldn't know a C-130 if it bit then in the ass. When I work on the car, my wife will come out and point to the alternator and ask what it is and what it does.
I started telling her it does the same thing it did last time you ask.
They have no intrest in man or mechanical stuff.

I used to wonder out the gate between the flt. line and living area to some hooches sat up as small bars and sit and drink whatever they had.
I don't think they even had a juke box at that time.
Maybe 2 girls and 2 tables and not much danceing room. Not that I danced.

Are you insuating the info I got from the girls in the bars while I was stinko is not correct?

Glad you feeling better Dan.
I got an 1891 Mauser in 7.65. It is very hard to find ammo for it.
I havn't shot it since 1980. Took up playing and spending time with my youngest daughter instead of doing my stuff when she was born.
I bought the gun in 67 for deer hunting.
