I have no Ideal about these days, but from 62 to 74 the bearings were clean in degreaser and repacked in grease and they were ready to use.
The Wheel and Tire Shop did this back in my day.

Well it has been over 36 years since I was there and things do change.
You can`t stop progress, But Taichung was the place back in the day.
I worker hard and played harder, I will never forget It.:)

Leon, Balls 2 was at Tachikawa AB Japan I was asst. C/C on it from 64 to 66.
It ended up in the SVN Airforce, last I hear it rusting at Tan son nhut.

So if I understand this correctly the aircrews are having a problem with the APU keeping it cool in the back, on the ground, before engine start-up. Umm....who cares? Really?
Does the system work properly inflight? That's all that really matters.
Like Tony said I don`t see any problem with the sys. We had the thing back in the Day with just the GTC running on a real hot day.

1976 sounds about right. I had just transfered from the 706TAS AFRES at NOLA, closed and went to A-37's, to the 433TAW at Kelly. General Jenkins was the replacement Wing CC.I am on Cape Cod and I don't have my records with me but I think 1976.
