Saw that bird while at the airshow this weekend, It's a Hamilton Standard prop on a T56 nacelle. There was a bit of an medical emergency going on the cargo ramp so I didn't have a chance to talk to any of the crew about it.

I recall some avionics that where specific to the KC's also and an airframe change that put new wings on them in the late 70's to early 80's.

That's what I remember, "You brought it on board, You declare it to customs"

Hated the wash rack, that nasty caustic soap would bet into parts of my body it had no business being in.

29 Palms is one our well known garden spots in Southern California, Giz that was after my time I'm aware of 148895's infamous belly flop that got her written off. This might of been another incident.

I think I'll just stay home, This is starting to sound like one of those "mandatory fun" events!

During my times (late 80's to 90) Marine FE's where taxi qualified for maintenance runs, repositioning birds etc. not sure if they still do.

I'm stuffed and can't move and I'm grateful. Happy Thanksgiving All!

Since this board is international I want to extend my regards to our board members who have served under their own flags.
-
Happy Veterans Day to all who have served!

And the most interesting man in the world (Dos Equis Beer) goes out the back of a herk in a kayak in one of his bits.

I think it's legit, Branch of service would have been an Eagle globe and anchor ironed on the left pocket {under the name tape} He has no rank insignia and his uniform is not too salty looking yet. I would guess this young man has only recently finished boot camp and infantry training giving him that classic "What have I got myself into" expression.

How about when those talons pop open in the last frames? That bird could palm a soccer ball.

The call signs are assigned to the plane commander not the aircraft.
