sharif101
what is the limitation of voltage flactuation of engine driven AC GENERATOR of c-130b aircraft.
gmac
Stabilized output should be within 112-118 V. Westinghouse voltage regulators are adjustable, GE units are not.
Ronc
what is the limitation of voltage flactuation of engine driven AC GENERATOR of c-130b aircraft. Sharif, I have never heard of any limit associated with fluxing voltage, I can't even begin to imagine the damage that would do to the equipment on that AC bus. NATOPS1
what is the limitation of voltage flactuation of engine driven AC GENERATOR of c-130b aircraft. Your Generator is constant speed (unless your RPM is moving) so Voltage should be steady however voltage is "always" going up and down and your VR adjust the excitation to increase or decrease voltage. Your range is 110-125 but steady volts are the norm. Swap your VR with another and see if it follows may be as simple as a week VR. Do B models have a GCP? Yes at least our version of the B model (F)...
gmac
See 1C-130B-2-7 pgh. 3-103 for operational check, pgh. 3-137 for Westinghouse voltage regulator adjustment. 115V + or - 3 is range.
