3. Colin Perkel of The Canadian Press is reporting that the fire that erupted aboard a Royal Canadian Air Force C-130 transport aircraft as it was taking off in Florida was likely caused by a hydraulic line that broke next to an electrical power cable. Read More

6. I'm at Keesler for tonight's NCOA graduation. I just drove by the flight line, what a beautiful site. I volunteered for a MSgt APG posistion in the reverse associate unit here last year but didn't get picked up for it. Six years time on station wasn't enough I guess. Anyone know if there are any open posistions here or any coming open anytime soon?
7. Different address, moved down the street. I'll pm it to you. Thanks!
8. Thought I would head off any questions. I'm the idiot who nuked the forum. It was an accident, clicked the wrong button. All member uploaded images were lost. I'm sorry, please resubmitt. I'll get to reloading the Production Number Gallery and other images that I have (10,000 or so of them) and reconfiguring everything. Just the way thing have gone lately. When it rains it pours....and pours....and pours... Maybe I can make some improvements with the reload. Again I apologies. --Casey

11. All, Thanks and you are welcome. It will take a bit to get some bugs out and figure out some of the new stuff but in the end I think this incident will wind up being a positive.
12. First, thanks to all those who have e-mailed, texted, pm'ed, etc regarding the site going down. I was heavily involved in restoring the site and did not answered the majority, for that I apologies. I truly appreciate the concern, support and offers of assistance. Here's where we are: The site was hacked last week and multiple malware scripts were loaded to the site. Fortunately, they were just annoying (triggering antivirus alerts, etc.) and not harmful to member's computers. They have been removed and the site has passed a malware scan by Google. Please let me know if your software detects anything. Since the site was down, I chose to proceed with an upgrade I have been planning for some time. I was not prepared for the upgrade but what the heck kill 2 birds with one stone, right? Though the look is a little different, the forums and gallery will operate pretty much as they did before. There are also a couple of new features, member blogs and the ability to post articles. Please be patient as I learn the new features and figure how we can use them to enhance the site. As far as I can tell, the gallery images and forum posts are intact. However, the old forum post attachments are broken. I have tried to replace some of them but I had to do considerable work to get the original images to reload. I will continue to look for a solution. Again, thanks for your support of HerkyBirds.com! 23. The Lord is my Crew Chief, I shall not be broken He maketh me to undergo routine maintenance He leadeth me beside the quiet hangars He restoreth my components He leadeth me in the paths of scheduled maintenance for quality assurance sake. Yea, though I live in fame or go down in flames, I will remain mission capable, For my Crew Chief is with me. His toolbox and his supply management, they comfort me. The Lord prepareth a depot before me in the presence of my maintainers. He anointeth my engines with oil; My power generation overfloweth. Surely, clear skies and strong tailwinds Shall follow me all the days of my life. And I will park in the hangar of the Lord forever. Amen
