  1. Well, after reading that Bullwinkle, I think it's safe to say that flying with you would ALWAYS be an adventure. I have a decent amount of time in Herks, and done a lot of different things in many places. Thankfully, none of them compare to your adventures.
  2. Do slicks get one too? How about an extra supp for flying with AMEs?
  3. It's been a while, but I'd guess the last one is Uta Pao?
  4. Ahh. That explains it. The 86-04XX series was Pittsburg. I thought they were Milwaukee. The 87-928X airplanes were Chicago Reserve turned Milwaukee. Things are making more sense now.
  5. Thanks. That clears up most of the confusion. I thought I just saw the original 440th tails at Pope last time I was there. Perhaps I didn't pay enough attention.
  6. I'm still a little confused here... OK Citys' 78s went to Pittsburg. Where did Pittsburgs' airplanes go? Nashville's 89-90s either became Gunship/Talons or went to Niagara. Where did Niagaras' go? As far as I can tell, the 440th totally relocated to Pope, but did not pick up any airframes. I was under the impression that they were supposed to get more. I understand St. Joe's airplanes are supposed to start moving to Little Rock ANG. Are they getting Mansfields?
  7. I know I've got a photo of 773 at home somewhere... I can't remember if it was an EC with Harrisburg or still a slick with Willow Grove.
  8. Glad I'm not the only one that was a little distracted by the word "Keel". That would suggest it's carrier-capable. I thought they nixed that idea a long time ago....
  9. It's much easier to cook dishes like that ahead of time. That way, even if you heat it forever and it's still cold, at least you won't be eating raw meat.
  10. I thought PRANG wasn't slated for a replacement. The C-27J was kicked around, but nothing firm.?
  11. I like occasionally doing pre-made cinnimon buns or cookies in the oven. Frozen individual pizzas come out very well in the oven as well. The aircraft oven somehow works wonders with bread-type items.
  12. I've been looking for it for quite a while. I know it exists, but nobody seems to have gotten their hands on it that I've talked to about it.
  13. The gag I've always enjoyed is the Alcoholics Moving Cargo patch. Very few people are observant enough to notice...
  14. The middle pic appears to have RAW gear in it with the old radar. My guess would be late H2 or newer.
  15. One of the Reno birds had the Hula Pig. Suitable for mounting on the SKE scope rails. How oddly appropriate for a Herk! LoL!
  16. I had heard that Mansfields were the first to get totally AMPed up and go to Little Rock ANG as the schoolhouse for the X-model or whatever they decided to call them. With the high likelyhood of the AMP getting the axe, I wonder how that'll change.
  17. I'm at Delaware and all of ours have digital fuel gauges, starting at 84-0206. I can't remember, but I think Schenectedy (83s) may have digital as well. I think the old OK City (now Pittsburg) airplanes started the Guard H2's with 78-0806.
  18. Knock on wood- the full birds I've flown with have all been really good. It's mainly the Captains that don't fly much that I worry about....
  19. DE ANG took Bob Hope on a Vietnam tour back in the C-97 days. I may have a little bit of info on it buried away.
  20. What is going on with Nashville these days? I heard they were getting WCs (with the foreign training role) and sending their H2s up to Niagara. One of our crews saw a Nashville H2 on a trip a few weeks back.
  21. http://www.airliners.net/search/photo.search?regsearch=90-1794&distinct_entry=true It's from Mansfield. 90-1794.
