  1. That's funny right there, I don't care who y'are.
  2. They did a huge drop in the So Cal high desert back in circa 1980s with C-141s. Bad thing was, we had Santa Ana winds going on, and the outcome wasn't pretty. It should have been called off, but too much rank in the audience, including congressmen. Glad yours was picture perfect.
  3. I know I've been over 60 with the Talons doing intercepts, don't know by how much though. I asked the question because the of the ambiguous narrative in the -6 WHEN AIRCRAFT IS MANEUVERED OUTSIDE THE NORMAL FLIGHT ENVELOPE AS INDICATED BY AN AFTO FORM 781A ENTRY. (SEE SYSTEM 77000 FOR ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS) A. VISUALLY INSPECT THE OUTER WING BOX BEAM BY ENTERING NO. 1 AND NO. 4 TANKS. INSPECT OUTER WING BOX BEAMS FROM OWS 214 THRU 562 FOR BENT OR BUCKLED RIBS (780), SHEARED “H" CLIPS AND SHEARED FASTENERS. B. FOR PROPELLERS INVOLVED IN THESE INCIDENTS, THE AFTO FORM 95 HISTORICAL RECORD SHOULD BE ANNOTATED TO INCLUDE AIRSPEED, OPERATING WEIGHT, FUEL DISTRIBUTION, ALTITUDE CHANGE, BANK ANGLES, PROPELLER TORQUES, AND AMOUNT OF “G" FORCES APPLIED.
  4. I didn't get an AF retirement, was only in 8 years. But, it's been 37 total now, so it's time to go, especially with what they have been doing to my Air Force.
  5. Many times changing both front tires will cure the problem. It could be something else, but you don't want to overlook the easiest fix. I hope it isn't a steering control valve, since there are few to no spares out there. Play in lower scissor, wheel nut loose, bad bearing?
  6. One/all of those filters are bad, or you have a large AC line running next to interphone lines. But hey, that ain't 'sposed to happen, it's against the rules in the 1-1A-14.
  7. Sorry, didn't mean to come across that way, meant it in a "why the hell would we need good info to fix airplanes" sort of way... Just getting more cynical. 36 work days left.
  8. HER DIARY Tonight, I thought my husband was acting weird. We had made plans to meet at a nice restaurant for dinner. I was shopping with my friends all day long, so I thought he was upset at the fact that I was a bit late, but he made no comment on it. Conversation wasn't flowing, so I suggested that we go somewhere quiet so we could talk. He agreed, but he didn't say much. I asked him what was wrong; He said, 'Nothing.' I asked him if it was my fault that he was upset. He said he wasn't upset, that it had nothing to do with me, and not to worry about it. On the way home, I told him that I loved him. He smiled slightly, and kept driving. I can't explain his behavior I don't know why he didn't say, 'I love you, too.' When we got home, I felt as if I had lost him completely, as if he wanted nothing to do with me anymore. He just sat there quietly, and watched TV. He continued to seem distant and absent. Finally, with silence all around us, I decided to go to bed. About 15 minutes later, he came to bed. To my surprise, he responded to my caress, and we made love. But I still felt that he was distracted, and his thoughts were somewhere else. He fell asleep - I cried. I don't know what to do. I'm almost sure that his thoughts are with someone else. My life is a disaster. HIS DIARY Boat wouldn't start, can't figure it out, at least I got laid.
  9. No drawing, HTF would I know... I am assuming it is the complete assembly for $1100.
  10. 276-5328-001 is number 10, GI.
  11. We can tie the SCNS and aircraft batteries together now, so you would get a bit more life out of them in an emergency situation if you turned the SCNS off.
  12. I gave a little slam test to every box I put across my bench, unless it had tubes in it.
  13. Now you can scratch your head even more. The book is shown for the -71A. The -71 does not cross to an NSN, so I have no idea what the differences could be. I will pvt message you the name of the Equipment specialist for this T.O. at Hill AFB.
  14. Smack the starter with the bumper jack. It worked on my dad's old chevys, anyways.
  15. I wish I could remember where I saw the Humanitarian explanation, but I can't. I thought it was in AFI16-401, A/C designation, but no luck. The original HC-130B models flew on two engines once they reached the search area and had plexiglass panels for the paratroop doors, according to my Lockheed C-130 guide.

  17. This was done on a final turn on approach though, so he was already low. He should have gone around and tried again.
  18. We'll see. The Lockheed support seems pretty useless though.
  19. The new J models at Ramstein seem to be more work than the old Es.
  20. "Wow, this is a keeper!" OK, maybe not...
  21. I knew the 2012 date was too good to be true for Moody AFB.
  22. No, they are not. The Navy T.O.s are, I believe. I'd have to check the site in the morning.
  23. I don't really care what the book says. I believe the K manual incorporated the MCAWS panel and some other stuff not in previous manuals, before any of them were tankers.
  24. Anyone know the max bank angle for the C130?? Is 65 over the limit. I don't know where the number would be written. The old B-1 states "In executing turns under combat conditions, remember that 60 degrees is the maximum bank angle."
  25. No I am not, that's what it stands for. That's why the SAR H-60 is the HH-60.
