The already got the Nav's SCNS control panel out of it. It went to one of the refurbed birds. They sure did go all out on the old AWADS airframe that they just got. Dual INUs, APN241 RADAR, TAWS, etc. I wonder who paid that bill? And we can't get dual INUs. Oh wait, AMP!!

Yes, it's called a harmonic. That's just the way it is, there's no magic to it. That's why the ELT transmits at 121.5 only. It's also picked up on 243, the first harmonic. If you transmit on say 121.000, you can pick it up on UHF 363.000, the second harmonic.

I don't ever remember my dad buying us lunch here, or really anywhere else, on our long cross country PCS trips. My mom would always make sandwiches for us, after a stop at the grocery store. ..

Sorry, no luck with the T.O.s I must have deleted mine many years ago, and they are Ok City books, and I can't get to them. They are all on CD now, no printed material except for flight manuals. I'll send you a private messaeg with the T.O. manager's e-mail address. Maybe they can help you, or have your TODO order the CD. 1C-9A-2CD-1, 01T05558600000R.

Are the C12 Amps and Gyros compatible? Again, just more proof that installing a 2nd INU would have been a money saver. They could have done it during the autopilot mod.

This goes back to the mid 90's. Let's put dual INUs in all of the aircraft that don't have it, and get rid of the C12 compass. Ohhhh noooo, AMP is going to take care of that. Rrrrrrriiiiggghhht!

I may have most of the C9 T.O.s at work. Won't be back in until next week. I could have deleted them after we lost the Nightingales at Ramstein, I don't know. I can run it through the NATEC system too.

Too bad we didn't know you were looking for a specific piece on a line. With that info, we could have helped you out too. An AFETS Brethren

Welcome aboard, Jeff.

We aren't experiencing any cracks on the HC-130P, but then again, I don't think we pressurize that high on a continued basis. Square angles are not good, grasshopper.

I stand in awe of those those that gave their lives for freedom!

Sincere gratitude and special thanks to the fallen of all the armed forces of the USA, and their familes! There is no better country than ours, and without the men and women who gave up their lives in its defense, it wouldn't exist.

Here's the drawing for the A model fwd fuselage equipment. ..

I remember going to the food place at the airport overlooking the TARMAC, getting burgers and stuff, and seeing the caskets being loaded on the C141s. Quite a sobering sight when you are that young. That's the only memory I have of the base, except for the shot clinic. I almost fell down the stairs after getting a GG shot.

I don't remember seeing you at Don Maung, but then again, I was only 11.

Looks brand new! Yea, I have to reset my cursor every day because of the comm nazi stuff. It keeps reverting back to the arrow after reboot, and of course, we have to reboot every day.

Yes, the STAB circuits work on the antenna in STBY, but only after a 3 minute warmup for the gyro to stabilize. From 12P5-2APN59-32 9-42. Approximately 3 minutes after the application of a-c power to the heater relay K1459, pin 2, the relay energizes. Internal contacts of K1459 mate to apply 28-volt d-c energizing power to relay K1460. When relay K1460 energizes 115-volt a-c power is removed from the relay K1459 heater filament and applied through pin T of J1451 to the rotor windings of the pitch and roll synchro transmitters in the Stabilization Unit. Relay K1460 is latched in the energized state by 28-volt d-c power through its own contacts.

The tiger teeth/shark's teeth belong to the 23Wing, Flying Tigers at Moody AFB. It is, thankfully, only painted on our two e-models that will be retiring this year.

I can't think of anything else without looking at specific diagrams. Do your diagrams in the book have a small number on them in the lower right corner of the diagram? If it has more than one page, it will be on the last page. This is the drawing number. If I had those for the G/S, VOR, Flight Director & NIS, maybe I could look them up to see if I can help figure this out.

Yep, bottom square is G/S antenna Lower light is taxi light Upper light is "passing light" I guess if you had a few of these flying in formation, you could flash the one up ahead and pass her, like on the autobahn. :-)

It may. The VOR antennas are installed about 5 degrees down in front, since the C130 flies nose up. (MY THEORY) It's very apparent that they are not parallel with the ground.
