  2. Hence why I stopped looking at the Government. I agree he should get the MOH, but everyone is too scared of offending someone or in any way putting they're necks out for anything.
  3. A few weeks ago we had a new electrician perform an ops check on the "Manual APU generator handle" on the front of the left wheel well pod. No matter how hard he cranked he couldn't get it going. He had no choice but to write it up.

  7. I think the old metal ones had a part number, not really helpful to this subject but I thought I'd trow that out there. Never seen one though, they're like bigfoot or Nessie. Just pictures in some obscure book.
  8. Does anyone by any chance know the Part Number for the Flap Manual drive cable T handle? We've been having a rash of them torn up and can't find the number anywhere. The book shows the cable itself, but not the handle and I don't want to order a bunch of cable assy's just for the handle. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

  12. Wait a minute, how did that go through? Where are his bullets? I didn't see any community service or squadron extracurricular activities on there. How can you promote someone if they didn't get involved in the squadron Christmas party?
  13. So the system still works then, I was told when I was on H3's that if you forget to reset it that you won't get an indication.
  14. On 93 and above H3's they have a reset button in the hellhole next to the crew ladder to reset the Nacelle overheat system after testing. Does anyone know the reasons behind it and why it's installed, also what would happen if it wasn't reset? Thanks.

  18. Weren't there some H model greybirds at one time? Several H1's at Dyess were rumored to be former greys.
  19. I was going thru the H-3 -1 the other night and noticed that there was a TCTO to remove the Engine LCD Gauges on 95-1001 and above ans replace them with analog. I was wondering if that was all of them or just select aircraft and for what reason. Spent some time in the desert with Minnesota a while back with the 95's and I loved those gauges, so much nicer than the analog.
  20. I went through some books last night at work, from what I can see, all the -1's list them as numbers. The 00GE and other Maintenance manuals list them as Fwd, Cntr, Aft. Seems they tell flight crews one thing and maintainers another....but wait, the Air Force would never do that.
  21. Hmm, I went thru that class twice and both times they were Fwd, Ect. I guess we had different instructors. I'll check the -1 and 00GE when I go in tonight.
  22. Everything I've read shows them as Fwd, Center, Aft. The only times I've heard them referred with numbers, the Fwd was 1, then 2 and 3. Where have you seen them referred to 1,2 and 4? I'm curious now.
  23. In ten years I think I've seen two planes with the LSGI lights working. Was told early on about them, but the first time I saw them light up blew my mind. All my planes we used them for spare bulb holders since the assemblies never worked.
  24. They got rid of the system on H1's, then late H2's they started putting IRCM in that spot.
  25. We watch Junk-STARS and C-17's all the time during preflights. Maybe the Cobras IFF was turned off for some reason. I know it's not supposed to be, but I have seen stuff like that done "To make it more realistic" I dunno, I just hope they can still find survivors.
