I'm from BAF & presently working in DRC under UN peace keeping mission with C-130B ac. we are in trouble with icing system for few days. When ac flies above 15000 ft, then "ice wx lt" & "no ice wx lt" come together. it remains ON for a long time. after "reset" it distinguish. moreover when ac is on ground in run mode or flies below 15000 ft, "no ice lt" does not illuminate(also ice wx lt does not come ON). we've changed "No ice pulsing relay", "No ice time delay relay", #2 & #3 ice detector and #2 & #3 "ice interpreter" but we dot get effective result. now what should we do to overcome this problem? plz help me if anybody knows......

WRALC used to have this on their site many moons ago. It is out of date, but proved very valuable sometimes. It just contains numbers and titles of the TCTOs, but with the ability to find specific words or numbers, it's pretty good. Tiny Rescinded TCTOs.xls

Now my new company who has never previously had c-130's on their AMO is trying to make a bid for a C check and I have been tasked with estimating man hours for our bid. Does anyone have any maintenance planning documents or man hour estimates documents or off the top of their head estimates that they would like to share so I check against the estimates i have already done. Its a full C check so a Re and Re of all flight controls, engines, props, gear, GTC, ramp and door, cargo floor boards, all flight control hydraulic packs + flap mot…

On the Belgian C-130's there is a recurring malfunction of the airconditioning system. Due to their faulty measurements other systems are influenced. The defects occur on the thermosensor in both the cargo and flight deck. In some cases the wiring goes awry or the butterfly valve stop working. Is there someone who has encountered the same problems and might have pinpointed the reason why these problems are occurring? Any advice on how to prevent these errors? Thanks in advance

I switched to mechanical same problem persists. I changed the valvehousing with no avail. Im looking into synchrophaser system now, its a shot in the dark but this plane has had a history of synchrophaser issues im going to throw a synch and pulse gen at it, perform a resynch and see where im at. Ill update after that but in the meantime any thoughts? *update, new pusle gen and synchrophaser, problem still persists but wouldnt hit 1500 in lb flux like it was previously now its around 1000 but the change coul…
