Gray Eagles: The gathering of Mustangs and Legends "The final roundup" This is a great film narrated by Peter Coyote. If you got a half hour to spare its definitely one to watch. I wonder why I moved away from hurricane alley, always hated the hot sticky days/weeks without electricity following a storm. Well we had a hell of a really cool storm come through on Friday and wham! the infrastructure is shot to hell and just now got power back on, it sucks that its the hottest stickiest June in memory. Ahhh well, at least now I have AC again, guess its time to walk next door to the house and chuck all the stuff out of the freezer into the ol burn pit.

I've be browsing the web site www amervets dot com. Some pretty good information. I filled out some info and they sent me a listing of awards and decs that I probably qualify for. In the listing I saw only 2 that I might qualify for, Air Force Training (Accession) and Cold War ribbons. Not sure but I just might use their form and send them in. A few others I might have to research more. Is there a place when you can research awards for particular units, projects, or other support? I provided some support for the Yon Kipper War in '73 while at Wright-Patterson. There was something like a 900 series manual that listed unit awards but it was in an office on base. …

Honestly - if you have not already seen this site, you have missed quite a bit. You know you have been at Walmart once or twice, and had seen something that could never be described or explained with a stragiht face. Or if you did, people thought you were drunk or making it all up. And you wished you had remembered your cellphone that has a camera. Or you had wished your cellphone had a camera. Not to worry though - someone else was able to get that pic. http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/

As a former C-130 driver, SEFE and line puke, I had more than my share of fun in the course of 27 years on countless rotations, Panama, Europe, Africa, Southwest Asia, Desert Shield & Storm and Red Flag, etc. in the A's, B's and E's. But in August of 1993 it all came to an end when I retired. Now all there was to do was flying widebodies (flight attendants) between major population centers around the world. I thought I would replace at least some of that former excitement and so I became active in the local aerobatic club and, after a few years, began teaching basic aerobatics and emergency recovery training mostly to pilots who have never been on their back in a…

Over five thousand years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel "pick up your shovel, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the promised land". Nearly 75 years ago, Roosevelt said, "Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses and light up a camel, this is the promised land." ... Read More Now Obama is going to steal your shovel, kick your asses, raise the price of camels and mortgage the promised land.

I was just reading the Oct. VFW magazine and in the claims section there is a guy named James P Denney who is trying to see if anybody remembers him sliding out the back of a pick up. I assume he was on a flight crew according to the claim, and he says he was in the 774th TAS from Apr. 71 to Sept. 72 (Clark AB P. I.) The accident happened at CRB Viet Nam. I just thought I would try to see if anybody here might know him and be able to help him out! His e-mail address and phone number are posted in the mag. so I guess it is alright to put it here. At least the e-mail address! [email protected] I guess I will e-mail that address myself and tell him about us!!!!!…

It seems to me that most of the talk on this site is being done by flight crew members.. C-130B C-130E I'm pretty sure the statute of limitations is over by now.. so I will ask.. Knowing Naha was a C130-A base.. How many of you had a Alternator write up so that you could spend some time in town while we pulled and padded the alternator on the affected engine ? LOL...

Very cool graphics...best I've seen even though it's time to wait for the NTSB hearing. Note NY Dept Contl trying to maintain contact while the A320 pilots are now concentrating on landing and no longer transmitting to them. Splashdown view was generated from the NJ side.
