  1. That E was still ours, being used by Poland until we fixed-up & gave them their other ones. I wouldn't consider the AC-J a total loss...lots of spares are now available.
  2. Is the airplane parked at a level roll attitude? I know the AN/AYW-1(V)1 will command roll input if the airplane isn't level. However, if you're saying the a pitch input by itself commands a roll, then you have a real problem. Haven't tried this with the FCS-105 though.
  3. The NP2000 has been funded for several years I think...maybe just for the ski birds though. I agree with you Railrunner, the maintenance savings on the new prop should have mx driving the change...just like the autopilot & radar upgrades. We only got those because the cost of maintaining the E-4 & APN-59 were too high. AMP increment 1 is intended to install ADS-B concerns, as far as I'm aware. It's not the radios, it's the transponder & GPS. A mil GPS system does not meet the requirements....just ask the J folks about that one.
  4. Looks like the CP & FE left their oxygen on...
  5. We would welcome that, but that's not what we're being told as of yet. We're expecting Yokota's birds when they start getting "upgraded".
  6. Bob, looks like we'll pick up LN 4906 very soon.
  7. That picture is from the Edwards test period. The navy has been flying the 8-bladed prop for years. I hear nothing but positive stuff.
  8. In the news story, I like how she uses the word "new" to describe the H3s. She probably has no clue they're 20 years old.
  9. Bob, I think I may have heard that MT may get something from Savanah...not sure if we'd get all or some.
  10. I wonder if they'll send the ANG/ACC/AFRC/AFSOC maintainers here, as there is no longer an H course at Little Rock.
  11. Yes, I am in the unit now. After 1597 came out of PDM a few months ago, a significant crack in the landing gear structure was discovered when it returned to GF. Funny, I thought PDM would look for such things and fix them. Anyway, a deal was brokered to boneyard our two super Es & get a couple/few H2s for loaners. 1598 is right behind it.
  12. What is Part 66? It's not in reference to the FARs, there isn't one.
  13. They wouldn't have been going to Great Falls, all ours flew their way in. BTW Bob, I think 1597 just left for DM yesterday.
  14. It could be hot, but it's not high....
  15. The latest we were briefed was that the program will be implemented in two parts...increments 1 & 2. Increment 1 will replace the radios & get the airplane the ADS-B it needs. Increment 2 will finish off the flight deck as the finished AMP.....we'll hope & see.
  16. "US Air Force’s “Milestone C” decision last week to commit the program to production and deployment" Doesn't mean anything...as we found out with the AMP. USAF somehow un-committed itself. Hope they hold true this time.
  17. Perfman, I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that. As I was reading it, I was thinking...this sounds exactly like the original C-130X program!
  18. If he's like me, he has a hard time remembering his wedding anniversary date.
  19. Your post is not understandable...I'm guessing that you're having GTC oil run out the drains after takeoff. Try replacing the oil tank cap seal inside the cargo compartment.
  20. Of course they'd say that...to admit production delays would be risking orders & their stock performance.n1dp, I wish HS had theirs ready. Last thing they told me was that their design will not fit on the J...unless they did some major mods.
