Mick McGlothlen, Greg (Jeep) White, Richard (Mountain Man) Kosteka, Dan McMullen, Don (Speed) Spaulding and me, Pat (Weasel) Wylie. Can't send pictures due the WPP. That's the Witness Protection Program.

Hi All, I got this picture from one of the yards in Tucson. \"Beef Steak\"\' is stamped in a number of places on the fuselage. This was on 57-0463 but it was reported on other fuselages. The only reference I heard to Beef was a Red Horse CE outfit calling itself \"Prime Beef\"? Anyone have a clue? Thanks bob [img size=1024]http://herkybirds.com/images/fbfiles/images/57_0463_beef_steak.jpg

Behold The MC-130J Spec Ops Transport With Its Badly Needed Terrain Following Radar Installed Nearly all of the Air Force's MC-130Js do not have an adequate terrain-following/terrain avoidance capability to perform their low-level missions. By Joseph TrevithickMay 15, 2019 Lockheed Martin Screen Capture Lockheed Martin has released a video showing one of the first MC-130J Commando II special operations transports equipped with the Raytheon AN/APQ-187 Silent Knight terrain-following/terrain avoidance radar. The U.S. Air Force plans to upgrade the entire Commando II fleet to this new configuration in the coming years, giving the planes a nap-of-the-earth…

Back in 69', someone made a song called the "Black Berets" that was sung to the Ballad of the Green Berets music. If anyone has a copy of that, I'd really like to hear from you. Thanks, Sarg

Hi, I am trying to keep the post that I made with the CCK Blanket Orders near the top just to make sure some of you guys didn't miss it! It would be interesting to see if any of you are on them! I guess I could re-post them here, but they are on the "looking for old friends from CCK" post made a few days ago! Thanks, Ken Carlson

Hello dear herc crew! can some one kindly guide me about the following, please:- As per graph of bleed effect on max power, with all bleed on the torque at sea level is lesser as compared to that for 2000 feet and 4000 feet and higher pressure altitudes. Lets say we start with 15000 thousand inch pounds, and see torque against sea level, then 4000 feet then 8000 feet; the torque keeps rising? why the effect of drawing all bleed (air conditioning, pressurization & anti-icing) is more pronounced at sea level aa compared to higher pressure altitudes?

Then what are such these following : 55-046 / 048 : C-130A-20-LM 56-468 / 488 : C-130A-25-LM 56-489 / 509 : C-130A-30-LM 56-510 / 530 : C-130A-35-LM 56-0531/ 551 : C-130A-40-LM 57-453 / 497 : C-130A-45-LM 57-498 / 509 : C-130A-50-LM 57-510 / 524 : RC-130A-55-LM These are the sort of block numbers to which I refer. The highest block number I have seen is for the EC-130Q-360-LM. Once again, would any of your members have a full listing of these block numbers ? Regards …

Hey guys, Im looking at creating a 3D object and want to use a variety of C-130s!! To make my workload light I was thinking of killing three birds with one stone. Am I correct when I say that the AC-130U is roughly the same model as a C-130H and a C-130(T) or KC-130H. Please let me know know so that way I don't build three different types. I also need super detailed blueprints if anyone has them and if there is any info on C-130Hs out there at all. And I mean all of it. start up procedure. FLight manual etc... I really appreciate the help and what you guys have going on here is great! Best 63

Hey, Bob, I just looked at the photos of 0-33131 what's the story about that plane? I notice the Roman nose (erly A model) but how come no external tanks, also looks like the forward cargo door is/was operational. Who owned/flew this piece of history? Brings back memories of my time in the 60's at Naha. If I remember correctly we had one or two there with the roman nose. Muff It spent it's entire time as a test aircraft Mostly as Edwards, went to Sheppard as a maintenance trainer and finally put into the Aeromed training area over by the civilian terminal at Sheppard . I don't know what they are going to do with it since the Aeromed training is going to Camp Bullis. …

This is the latest and greatest AllHerks C-130 Production List from Bob Daley. Want to know how many of each model have been produced or still flying? Where your favorite Herk is now? What deliveries of the latest C-130J have been completed? It's all available here. The file is in an Excel format, but had to be zipped due to a limitation of the forum. Windows XP and up should be able to handle it. This is probably the best Herk resource after Lars Olausson's books. All thanks to Bob, and the countless hours he spends updating it. This file is available in the Files and Documents Section http://herkybirds.com/content.php?209-files-and-documents [ATTACH]197…
