    One year (1969) ? we was going to have a Typhoon, but it was cancel. Next day the typhoon hit, i was on the ramp ( NAHA) trying to chain down the 130. Ladder flew out of my hands. Did not need a Typhoon to go to Naminoue!

    You didn't say if you adjusted the Null, to a lower setting.

    The C130A Blind Bat birds had the black crow system. Left parachute door, 6 foot TV antenna. As i know.

    The Donut dollys would come on the Ramp, to meet the 130's as we park. " Shock " to see a true warrior that care, so far from home.

    I can see my bunk, it's the one full with sand. O that' OK I'll take a shower, even that was full with Sand. To the beach i go, more SAND. This place would make a great resort. The beach was # one.

    I had the same problem the other day, cold start 740 TIT. Found that the T.D. valve was in the ( full ) Decease. Adjust 2 clicks toward ( 0 ) Engine started @ 800 TiT.

    I guest i was one of last to leave. Nov 12 1976 we had four 130's on the ramp. Msgt Fields was my boss. Does anyone know the Schaefer's, McGee. 15 Days to clear base, off to 6594th Hawaii.

    Sometime in 69 under 374th, OMS had four section A,B,C,and D. A section was E Flight and Blind Bat at that time we had 6 black bird's and 6 silver bird's. Blind Bat end Dec 1970. I was in 21 TAS, 41 TAS and then 374th OMS. Three years on Naha, with many TDY (great time). Jan 71 order's to CCK, Chg's Mar 1971 going to Griffiss AFB. And the story goes on.

    Great photos, any more? Some of Naha Birds did have paint jobs like that. In 68.Then the birds had 3/4 paint job ( black). Then later full Black paint jobs. I have to say in did work 483.

    Fairlane Club, Ubon Thailand band playing Ghost rider in the sky. Then the song Batman, the club goes WILD.

    On the 130A we would install SKY HOOKS to keep the aircraft airborne.
