  1. Sad day, there goes a 9 mil center wing box, also I just saw 14 NVG cargo lights blow away, their not cheap ether! I would have thought they could have saved some more of the plane, like the flaps and such. But I\'m not there and don\'t know the conditions at the time.
  2. What\'s to offend, great joke, or is it... sounds like the Times to me.
  3. Patches cane to the Ga ANG in 74 to 81 then went to MN ANG till they got the last of the H3\'s, 94ish then went to Idaho. It spent alot of time in the Guard.
  4. We had the plane on our ramp a couple of weeks ago. It is a great paint job!
  5. Do my eyes deceive me or are the air deflector doors open? Is that normal?
  6. Maybe McPeak will do to the Obama campain what he did to the Air Force! They won\'t see it coming.:P
  7. Only question I have is when do we take off the America Flag on our uniforms and replace it with the French flag?? I\'d rather put our tax dollars in American pockets. My 2 cents
  8. That\'s total force for you, I guess since the Guard and Reserve don\'t count the experence that has been gained by them is just wasted. I don\'t mean to bash the Active duty but you would think by that article only the AD is good enought! MY 2 CENTS
  9. They have a new flying squadron for the Barneys, and according to BRAC they will gain an active assoc unit for the Herks and gain 4 more tails at the same time.
  10. Look at the new bed down list, they are to get JCA.
  11. As far as I have heard no AFSOC tails are in the 222, only slicks.
  12. BRAC didn\'t close any guard units, all that will lose there planes are to be left as enclave units. So most want the JCA or what ever it takes to remain in the flying business.
  13. Just remember, the Prop goes first, 103, then the engine 103.5.
  14. Question I have, are you still trying to move the bottles? It was stopped because there was no reason to move them. The bottles should remain where they are readily accessable, arms reach, and the bottles will not explode since they are low pressure O2.
  15. The EBH is for the center wing box, if the box has been changed the EBH is for the new box. That\'s how the few E\'s that are unrestricted are still flying. In the 80\'s when the Guard was changing outer wings they changed the center wing box too. My 2 cents
  16. About the sim problem, AMC is going to buy 4 more sims, this should help with training. The Pope sim is now getting modified to AMP right now and will be going somewhere (LRAFB). Nashville should get an E sim from somewhere.
  17. On 27 Nov 07 the 165 AW lose a valued member of our family, MSgt Mark Wallace passed away suddenly. We at the 165 and the Air National Guard will miss him very much. To add to the pain it was his birthday. He left behind a mother and three lovely daughters. Mark was sitting at his office desk when he had a massive heart attack. While every thing possible was done for him, God must have needed a FE.:(
  18. Ok, you are going to have to enlighten us, what does the rest say!
  19. Thanks, I lived in the Azores from 69 till 72, they must have closed the squadron as we left, it was a different time back then for a kid to grow up in.
  20. One answer to your questions, Dobbins sims were there before the school house and will be there after its gone, they have an H2 and H3 sim, and will be used for refresher training for Res but I\'m sure they will try to get the ANG to go to the H2 sim again. My 2 cents
  21. Thanks for the pic from the Azores, does any know if the bird in the photo was stationed there?
  22. The WC\'s have the radio operators position and no bunk, the Navs station is slightly different too.
  23. I sure do, but then it changed from an airspeed reminder card to lets put every thing on it so I (THE PILOT) don\'t have to pick up the big card card. My two cents!
