For several weeks flight and ground crews have been pecking away at a problem where engine torque, fuel flow and TIT increase when engine anti-icing is turned on. We're not talking 100"lbs of torque here, its over 4000"lb and/or 300 to 500 pph of fuel. Every conceivable component from FCU, speed valve, anti-icing side valves, and the whole TD system has been replaced at least once with no change. Last week the engine was finally removed and sent to test cell. Engine was started, runs great, makes good power, but when anti-icing is turned on there is a massive surge of torq and fuel which the TD barely contains. I had the to see what …

Hello Hydraulic Expertise In normal brake Pressure line near to Normal brake selector valve (100CU IN Accumulator),one way restrictor is installed but in Emergency brake pressure line the restrictor is not installed (50 CU IN Accumulator) both hydraulic lines pressure are same (3000 PSI) what is the reason behind it? I am wondering if anyone can advise when the manual override button located on the Rudder Boost Diverter Valve would be used? We have imagery but no actual technical notes advising of what the intent of the button is other than a manual override. We are guessing it is in case the hydraulic pressure does not change when the flaps are raised/lowered beyond 15% but we are not 100% certain. This is on a C-130J but was also used on the H and E models. Thanking for any assistance in advance.

In C-130B aircraft tail no 58-0754 Lockheed no 3553 right rear mlg vertical beam got cracked. According to ipc 130B-4 the part no is 373014-1 L/R we tried to replace it by 373014-3 L/R as previous part no not available.but it is found not matched with the existing one.Now can we replace it with 388482-32?

Good evening house. Our C130H aircraft returned back today from an FCF after an unsuccessful air start. NTS check was successful and the engine feathered with a cruise engine shutdown procedure. However, when on airstart following the stated procedures, the airstart went well until 60% RPM when all engine parameters wound down to zero and consequently prompted an immediate feather. A restart was attempted on the ground and was successful. We have consulted our troubleshooting manuals but found nothing so if anyone has a suggestion to correct this problem would be appreciated. VMT

Please i need help. #2 Engine failed to air-start. Engine wound down from 60 percent rpm. On landing, engine started normally. NTS switch and NTS brackets checked ok. Pump housing oil quantity normal. Need help to rectify the fault. Thanks.

During the generator ops check, the book tells you to sequentially turn on/off the generators to tell you if the generator can handle the load of the aircraft. When generator 2,3,4 are off generator #1 shows high voltage on phase B only (121 volts). Along with that, we are getting ECBU's 6,7,8 input failures. We have changed GCU, engine generator and swapped BIU's. We still are getting the same problem. Any input will help. Thanks in advance
