For those who haven't seen this... DRILL PRESS: A tall upright machine useful for suddenly snatching flat metal bar stock out of your hands so that it smacks you in the chest and flings your beer across the room, denting the freshly-painted project which you had carefully set in the corner where nothing could get to it. Also removes fingerprints and hard-earned calluses from fingers in about the time it takes you to say, "Oh, shit!"... See More SKILL SAW: A portable cutting tool used to make studs too short. Saw Season 13 Episode 3 of Top Gear on BBC America Monday night. In one segment James May comes to an airfield in the California desert to ride with Stunt and Rally driver Ken Block. I didn't catch the name of the airfield but it appeared to be an old military base (ammo igloos). In a couple of quick scenes there was what appeared to be a camo painted civilian Herk. Anyone know where this is and which aircraft?

You get what you vote for!!! The military's managed-care option -- TRICARE Prime -- will be ended Oct. 1 for retirees, their family members and for military survivors who reside more than 40 miles from a military treatment facility or from a base closure site, TRICARE Management Activity announced Wednesday. Most of these 171,400 beneficiaries will need to shift health coverage from Prime to TRICARE Standard, the military's fee-for-service health insurance option. For beneficiaries who use more than preventive health care during the year, the shift will mean higher out-of-pocket costs. Lots of news for the past week about this. I personally believe that the invasive pat downs are a violation of the 4th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. The time has come to quit pussy footing around and do some intelligent profiling, both positive and negative. Positive example? Pilots. What say you? I have a lot to say about this on my blog--I'd be honored if you would visit and subscribe to the posts. Cheers JP Blog website: http://flyoverfeedback.blogspot.com

7 years after I retired and now I'm diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. After checking some of my old medical records looks like my blood sugar was in the norm during my time in so now don't think I'll get anything from the VA for this new diagnosis. What are others experience with post retirement changes in their medical status? Funny but if I had been in VN it would be automatic.

Lockheed said: Airlift International’s ground crew in San Juan, Puerto Rico, has a right to be proud. On Oct 25, 1967, just 9 minutes after Flight 603 taxied in from New York, it was ready to leave for Miami – an unofficial world record for cargo plane turnaround. In, that time, the crew unloaded and loaded 44,364 lbs. Ok… is this THE world record. Or have you done better?… and want some recognition.

O.K. guys, I need your help, or rather your advice, or suggestions, or any assistance you may provide. Each year the Social Studies teacher at the local High School sponsors a Veterans Day observance at the H.S. Very well done, very respectful, but the last couple years it seems as though it has turned into more of a Memorial Day observance, complete with bag pipes, Danny Boy, that sort of thing. I have been asked to be involved in the plans for this years observance. I know what I'd like changed, but not what to replace it with. For instance; the music. The H.S. School choir always sings as well as the band (or part of) plays, that's where Danny Boy comes in. Any suggest…

This kind of news seems to get swept under the rug. It is not to often that a video game developer receives some sort of recognition, beyond "corrupting the minds of children". childrhttp://www.callofdutyendowment.org/ short video of the event

Just stumbled upon some old Vietnam pictures and posted them into "My Gallery". They are the last 12 or 13 on the page. Unfortunately, I don't recall where most of them were taken.
