Seems like many moons ago while I was at Mildehall.... the crew dawgs might have ordered a bunch of seat cushions from these guys.... http://www.oregonaero.com/p3839-2001.htm#C130 I think your bird was there at the time. Bob

And the coolest thing is that it didn't take any dang software to make it all happen!

Combat Talon I aircraft going to Bone Yard

I remember when triple nick came thru Mildenhall about 10yrs ago.... had a fuel cell issue... the USAFE guys towed it in and out of the barn three times (saying it was fixed?)..... AFSOC had enough of the "towing practice"..... sent in a dedicated AFSOC team... a/c was FINALLY fixed and flown home. -

The AOA probes were removed a few years back at Crestview... another system took over the function. -
EFB: Electronic Flight Bag is what some of the civilians are using.

The blade horizontal antennas replaced the old VOR antenna. The old antenna was a bit more than flush. During some of the heavy duty ISO inspections (and I'm sure others as well) the old VOR antenna was removed. This 300+ screws per side was actually a box of sort that was inserted from one side and went all the way to the other side of the vert stab. Stripped screws were the norm! The box was removed and flat alum panels were installed with the new blades installed. Awesome TCTO!

I guess with all of the old Fighter aircraft sitting static at the Cannon main gate... they must have flown mostly during the day.... or the folks have memory loss.... they can't deal with the sound of Freedom, but they sure as heck like to spend the $$$ used to make it.

RIP Brothers, RIP. Lets keep their Families in our Prayers. Bob -
Watched this one launched from a T1 (I believe)..... You could actually feel the boom pressure on your chest when it lit off... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MOAB

Nope...not Bob Cross

Was on a T2 and landed at this location as MEGP (late) after dark... sure was an interesting landing!

I bet that they have the door wide open to give room to chunk the chocks in...would hate to see the guy yanking on the rope to get run over if he fell or lost traction.

Web seats... no problem for me. Landing gear up, eyelids down. Back in the old days.... working mx on old E's...Nothing like flying all day just to have to work the kerchunk kerchunk kerchunk washing machine doppler antenna that broke on the way... And they needed it to fly the next day. Now-a-days, the front windows get more attention than the new type doppler installed. Technology does make a few things better!

Glad to hear that you guys got it licked.

How about a Thru-Line wattmeter at the R/T...to see if any modulation (tx audio) is getting to the R/T and creating an RF (swing) output...

I thought the tail # number looked familiar.... use to work the a/c mid to late 80's when they were doing SOLL II missions with her.
