  1. Try 5940-00-539-0664, that's all I could find out. It's a binding post for an HF coupler mount box, not sure if it's yours. If that isn't it, you could always sub a short bolt and configure it like a grounding post, using a terminal lug on the HF lead in wire. Locknuts would ensure it won't come loose.
  2. The same caution is in the Job guides CAUTION: The underfloor heat switch must be off during engine starting and switching of loads from one generator to another. Failure to comply could result in a burned out generator control panel. I don't know why the GCP would be damaged, but since the caution is still in the book, it should be followed.
  3. Can't help you. It's managed by the Navy, and I couldn't find it in the AF books.
  4. I'm having someone check my old HF folder at Moody. I think I had that info on this RF terminal. Those shield assemblies were a one time buy for the install kits.
  5. They call it a shear pin for a reason. The AN-6 bolt is rated at 8280 PSI shear strength. I have seen two break off. It keeps damage from happening to the NLG.
  6. Operate auxiliary system hand pump (3) until pressure on HAND PUMP PRESS gage (1) indicates between 2900 and 3300 PSI. Maintain pressure throughout towing operation.
  7. The J Model book states that it records 30 minutes in high quality and 2 hours of standard quality.
  8. I'm thinking it was a mixup at DLA. I used to have contact info for them, but guess I dumped it. Don't you all have an AFETS?
  9. Have you just ordered one? I would call the Webflis center DSN 661-7766 and see if you can talk to the equipment specialist. It is possible that a part was misidentified. You could probably get one from AMARC. It's the same speaker used for the PA system.
  10. I have a 2009 copy I don't really need anymore.
  11. When the birds arrived at Khorat, they already had them fitted.
  12. It is actually called the Illustrated Parts breakdown, and there is more than one, depending on what model you are talking about. Example: The IPB for the H models is 1C-130H-4, the flight manual is 1C-130H-1. DISTRIBUTION STATEMENT – Distribution authorized to U.S. Government agencies and their contractors (Administrative or Operational Use) (20 November 1996). Questions concerning technical content should be directed to WR-ALC/LB. Other requests for this document shall be referred to WR-ALC/LUTD, Robins AFB GA 31098.
  13. https://www.google.com/#q=4K90075-103A+coupler The C-130H models use an INU tied to the SCNS (Self-Contained Navigation System). It is not the same INS that you have.
  14. Lockheed part number is 4K90075-103A. This was used in the C-5A aircraft as well. There were many companies showing this coupler, but I don't know if they have stock. This is one of them http://aerobasegroup.com/nsn/6605-01-078-1701/
  15. I posted my rescinded TCTO spreadsheet in the Technical forum.
  16. WRALC used to have this on their site many moons ago. It is out of date, but proved very valuable sometimes. It just contains numbers and titles of the TCTOs, but with the ability to find specific words or numbers, it's pretty good. Tiny Rescinded TCTOs.xls
  17. I doubt this was an aircraft TCTO. Since it's part of the QEC, it probably would have been issued as a TO supplement, and I don't remember what the QEC T.O. is, but it would have been issued as say, 19C1-56-2-201. The 201 being the important part. Again the first part of the number I made up. Found my list of TOs. 16W14-12-2(3)-??? I didn't see anything on my list of rescinded TCTOs. Mike Bischoff may know, he is at Cannon AFB. Sorry, I was looking for something older than 1984, and dealing with the QEC. 1146 was titled "Inspection of Aft Engine Mount Beam P/N 363803-1, Aft Engine Mount Beam Support P/N 363801-1, and Upper Longerons P/N 362502 for Cracks, C-130B & subsequent aircraft" Hopefully, that is what you are looking for. Whatta want from an avionics guy???
  18. I'm good, settling down in Nampa, ID, just put 10 gallons of Black IPA in the fermenter. Hey, I do remember the Howdy thing as well.
  19. I am confused about who is who as well. Any radio on the aircraft will be heard on the interphone, so that is pretty much out. To answer the question about two antennas, one for transmitting, one for receiving, no it doesn't work that way. If a UHF or VHF antenna blade was broken off, it would still receive pretty well, but transmitting wouldn't go very far. That being said, antenna connectors are reachable on the ceiling of the aircraft. To keep from getting shot down, a white t-shirt secured inside with a web seat strap and stuffed out the ramp valve would show distress.
  20. I would have liked to see Payton win it, but I'm happy for Seattle. I just wished it was a good game.
  21. Yes, Bob, I've been in Idaho since the 11the of November, bought a house in Nampa.
  22. Ronc, I fully understand. I sent him a little further explanation of the controls. It does tie into the moving map displays and nav computer. I was just trying to say that it wasn't a simple cursor control.
  23. That thing is more complicated than just a simple cursor control. There are also two buttons under the handle. And yes, there is a detent on the flap control at 50%. The flap control uses cables, and there are several microswitches in the flap quadrant feeding other systems information, like TCAS & GPWS, among other things.
  24. Very cool video, and they spelled the Herk part wrong.
  25. Those pins are used a lot of different aircraft. It could be a nose gear pin. They are also used for safety devices on weapon systems, even chaff/flare safeties. Both part numbers are standard stuff that most units have on bench stock.
