I was at the VA Clinic on JBER the other day and they had a vender displaying wares like they usually do. Some pretty neat pictures and I'm prertty sure that they could do custom work as well. I just picked this one up as an example. It doesn't rotate like you might expect it to but it just sits there and gives you different looks at the 2 different pictures, I "liked" them on my facebook page so so you don't have to like to them.

I'm a former aeromedical specialist who served with the 61st and 62nd Tactical Airlift Squadrons, 314th Tactical Airlift Wing, Little Rock AFB, AR, who deployed on rotations in the early '70s to RAF Mildenhall and Rhein-Main AB before a C-130 unit was permanently based in Europe. Later in my career, I was the wing historian of the 374th Tactical Airlift Wing at Clark AB from 74-75 during Project SCOOT-CE, Operation EAGLE PULL, Operation FREQUENT WIND, and the recovery of the S.S. Mayaguez. I have lots of historical knowledge and an extensive photo archive as I am also a long-time photographer and scale modeler. I look forward to conversing with you all!

I have a question that maybe one of you guys can answer for me. Does the USAF keep records of daily missions? Also if they do, do they keep them in an archive somewhere? The reason I ask, is while reading many books on the ground war/infantry actions in Viet Nam, I have discovered that most of the books I have read the authors have been able to go back to their unit records and check their memories with what actually happened on what mission and what day! Names and everything! I am still looking for any records/missions that would include my experiences on Jan 1st. 1968. If they did keep a daily log on each acft or mission, would they still be available? As the yea…

Before you do be sure to check out what this guy has to say. Holy cow. I already knew they were anti gun and anti religion. http://www.veteranstoday.com/2013/12/08/wounded-warriors-project-a-legal-scam/ If what is reported here is true these guys really need to be publicly flogged.

Have you all seen the pictures of the slimeballs, mainly of the Wisconsin army National Guard, supposedly, havin' fun and games with a flag-draped casket????? Now the casket is supposed to be empty, and all, but still......Google the thing and see what you see and read. I for one think it is a disgrace...................

First - I'm going to provide a link. I have intentionally broken it, so the seller won't see analytics coming from here and then maybe pull the listing. Etsy is like a fancy pants eBay. People mostly sell hand made items. But there are people who sell ephemera, so hipsters can decorate their home like an 80s era Chilis. I usually scour it for items that could be illegal. Today I found this https://www.etsy.com/listing/150522303/ vintage-ww2-document-ros-206th-us-army?ref=related-4 I broke the link after the final backslash Granted that this soldier may already be dead. But identity thieves look for SS numbers of deceased people. I also know that certain doc…

The Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Mark A. Welsh III published his professional reading list Feb. 6 2014 "This year's CSAF Reading List was designed to build understanding," Welsh said in his message to Airmen. "There are stories of Airmen, fellow service members and leaders from many different backgrounds. I bet there's a book, a movie, a piece of artwork, or a TED Talk in there that you can relate to.†http://static.dma.mil/usaf/csafreadinglist/pdf/2013ReadingList.pdf

"The STEP program is a tool commanders can use to promote people that, in the commander's eyes, are deserving of immediate promotion." "When Airmen know that the possibility exists that they could be spot promoted, it gives them additional reason to do their best work." Anyone know someone who got a Stripe Through Exceptional Performance?

I want to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I feel like I know so many of you personally, and have had the real honor of meeting several of you. I guess the older we get, the more we think back about the times gone by. This morning I have my electric train, that I got in 1957, I think it was, actually runnin' under the tree. I have had it there a few times before, and have had it runnin' a few times over the years, but never under tree like it used to be when I was a kid. Don't know why this year is different, but it's cool. My question to the rest of you is..... What have you done to connect back to Christmas's long past???? Again all the se…

Insult 1 2

Today I was assaulted and insulted. Our President and Commander in Chief has ordered the Flag of the United States of America to be flown at half mast in honor of a foreign entity, Nelson Mandella. I have no beef with Mandella, it's my understanding that he was a fine leader. He was, however, not a citizen of the United States of America. Never was. We have young men and women serving under the Stars and Stripes in far away lands, being horribly wounded and killed every day, and this administration all but ignores them. Combat Veterans from wars long ago wait years for the recognition they deserve. Does Washington care? Yet some stranger to most Americans, a foreigner, is…

I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer when it comes to this computer stuff, so maybe some of you who are can help me out......... I am sure some of you, like me are forced, by Verizon or whatever, to use yahoo as the email and so on provider. it was lame at best, and recently they changed the whole format. your emails get jumbled up, you can't search them, or anything, Is there any way I can go back to the previous format, or to an entirely different email and homepage type thing??? This really, really sucks Thanks Giz
