Between May 1965 to Dec 1967 A/C 64-0560 carried 6.4 million lbs of cargo. Mostly in the form of test cargo used for LAPES drops. Will post pictures when I learn to use my new scanner.

Went to the range yesterday but had one of those rotten days where I couldn't get both halves of my brain to agree what to take and what to leave; needless to say my boy and I hauled a pretty large pile of iron and ammo. Results, a very good and very long day at the range :hatnuke: It was a great day, but one thing still amazes me, the 1919 weighs in at 46 lbs and it still punches a decent recoil, a little harder than the Garand. You would think the weight would eat up the recoil but ......... I was using some old POF .303 for my #1mk3, never have fired it before and boy is it strange, having like a one second lock time?!?!?!?!? Click, wait, boom. My shots were…

I wonder why I moved away from hurricane alley, always hated the hot sticky days/weeks without electricity following a storm. Well we had a hell of a really cool storm come through on Friday and wham! the infrastructure is shot to hell and just now got power back on, it sucks that its the hottest stickiest June in memory. Ahhh well, at least now I have AC again, guess its time to walk next door to the house and chuck all the stuff out of the freezer into the ol burn pit.

Negra Modello Especial tastes almost like San Miguel. Just missing a bit of the formaldhyde bouquet. That is all.

What I finally did, was meet (in person), one of the guys on this forum. I am very happy our meeting turned out the way I expected. I met one of our regulars --Chris Schutz--(tinwhistle) this weekend and my wife and I spent some very enjoyable hours with Chris and his wife Mary. We did some touring the area in rain, snow, & sunshine and visited and had a good time. Chris and I got to tell each other our old war stories and what has happened over the years. I know that if I would have known him while in the USAF, we would have been good friends. I think that would be the way with a lot of us on the forum! We all have something in common. The C-130 Hercules!!!!! …

As a widow, not sure how to expose a fake navy seal, collecting money from many war widows and the general public. His name is Randal Reed DOB 1956 of San Luis Obispo, CA uses a internet site with his friend who started it named Karen Velie, they have done many fake and misleading phony stories. The most recent was " Veteran Barred from Services" she figured she and he could generate lots of donations if they did this fake story. Saying Randal Reed born in 1956 in San Luis Obispo, CA joined the Navy Seals, earned the Navy Cross, Purple Heart, and was a highly decorated Navy Seal. All is a lie and fake he is a x-con not a veteran at all, they used this fake story and other…

7 years after I retired and now I'm diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. After checking some of my old medical records looks like my blood sugar was in the norm during my time in so now don't think I'll get anything from the VA for this new diagnosis. What are others experience with post retirement changes in their medical status? Funny but if I had been in VN it would be automatic.

The one piece I did not like to use was the LOX Cart something about the LOX and oil not liking each other. One other thing is ground pressure check on the plane. I could just see that plane blowing to bit's.

As the title says, I went and did it-----I applied for VA Health Benefits just to see if I qualified and just received notification that I am eligible for care as a Priority 6 veteran!! This process only took about a week from start to finish!! I am supposed to schedule an appointment with the Billings Clinic whenever I am ready. Now, my questions are, is this a physical?. I could go to the VA clinic in Billings (only 40 miles) to ask these questions but would rather ask some of you "experienced" guys first. We speak the same language!! Muff, I hope you are reading this as I think from what I have seen on this forum, you are directly involved in answering questions that …

YES!! ANOTHER PHONY EXPOSED!! This guy is the current owner of a small coffee shop. I used to visit this shop after my morning runs, when it was the previous owner. I gave the shop a try after ownership changed hands and eventually I stopped going because it seemed as if every time I went when it was this guy, he would try to talk about his service days and Navy SEAL blah blah blah... Growing up in the PI, and those of you who were in the PI, we all knew people who would "slip into the jungle". You just knew them, and what they did. They rarely if ever talked about what they did, when they did, they talked about it as if it was just any other ordinary job. The only …
