Curious if any of you remember the ASC engineering team (me and a young captain) who went around the world giving a briefing on this ditching? We also did a video of the briefing some of you might have seen. I was told the briefing was still being shown well into the late 90s.

At the end of the flight, when the aircraft is reconditioned: When I set the Air conditioning Master Switch to OFF or AUX VENT, the breaker cabin press and AUX Vent triggers after 2 seconds. On positions NO PRESS, PRESS MAN or AUTO PRESS, the breaker does not trip ... I have a doubt about a piece of equipment but I would like to have your avionics opinion. Thank you

Hello everyone, For the past month or two we've been having an ongoing issue with pressurization on our J model. The problem typically gets recognized when flying at higher altitudes, 19-20k ft, thought recently they've stated they had erratic pressurization at all altitudes. Initially the problem was erratic pressurization throughout flight, resulting in ears popping and discomfort, when at higher altitudes they received a CAB Alt high advisory because cab alt was indicating above 10k ft. We change a part, it flys 1-2 times and the problem comes back. We've changed the outflow vlv, cabin pressure controller, vacuum reg, and servo valve, some things have been cha…

Hye guys. I really need help. I had an experienced on this issue. Mine generator disc indicator on the overhead panel not illuminate during test. Before test, my aircraft do experience generator out light and failed bearing light illuminate in flight. Pilot tried to disconnect the generator with the gearbox using generator disconnect system, however the indivator didnt illuminate and it forced pilot to shutdown #3 engine to avoid catastrophic mechanical failure. On the rectification after the flight, it found that the generator had broken with shaft do also broken. From my understanding, failed bearing light is due to mechanicle failure or maybe due to the broken of the g…

Hi Folks, I'm currently planning a new module, the fuel-management. Can anybody help me with the question why the fuel management panel of a J-model (the one with the rotary switches and digital readouts) has only one tank selector? What is that rotary switch controlling? I dont find anything about a fuel selector in the public available schemata. Regards Thomas If anybody ist interested in the current status of my sim: https://c130-sim.weebly.com/

GTC problems 1 2

I am having problems with a GTC not running without a boot pump. After the boost pump is turned off, about the time the manifold pressure gauge hits 5lbs the GTC dies. With a boost pump on the GTC will handle the load of the ATM and both AC packs on, the GTC will die with no load also as soon as the boost pump is turned off. I have checked the cracking pressure and it is at 61lbs, the armpit valve is working as it should. The gtc fuel filter was replaced and still no difference. Anyone ever had this problem?

KC-130T buno 313 and up, Having an issue where the CARA will lose altitude intermittently while in flight. Sometimes it will happen on takeoff or descent other times it will happen while cruising. (Aircrew will sometimes associate it with nav select switching but cannot be duplicated) CARA will fluctuate under 50 feet while airborne causing GPWS to go off for low altitude sometimes resetting the breaker will return it to normal other times if terrain changes it will return to normal on its own. Have replaced pilots indicator, CARA R/T and antennas but gripe still remains. Also I have shot the cables with a TDR and they seem normal. Any insight would be greatly apprec…

Hello all, Working on a KC-130T-30 and having an issue with the #2 and #4 generators holding a load. Replaced multiple components: #4 gen contactor, one of the bus tie contactors, #2/4 GCP, #4 voltage regulator. Generators will power on and give good freqs and voltages but when switched to on will not carry essential bus or a heavy load. Occasionally we can get either to pick up a bus or remove applied loads and slowly turn items on till the gen out light illuminates and freq and volts are zero. Have verified wire continuity and voltages while gen is operating normally everything checks good. When gen is in a failed state the normal voltage at the voltage regulator …

Hello Herks Hydra Expertise! 1. It has mentioned Intermediate level maintenance T.O of EDP NYAB at 3000 RPM , flow rate of pump is 6 GPM min, where pump is designed 10 GPM at 3650 RPM . when both the pumps (NYAB) In Aircraft utility system working parallel max flow ie 16.93 pressure drop to 1800 psi. how we can calculate flow rate (GPM) of both NYAB pumps when they are working parallel at 3000 RPM? 2 Just assume that aircraft hydraulic utility system ,when No 1 EDP pressure is 3000 psi and No.2 EDP pump pressure 3100 psi how the pressure act passes thru passage of single pipe after isolation check valves ? good evening to everybody im experiencing a "RADAR DEGRADED" CAUTION ACAWS on a C130J with a generic diagnostic message LPCR BIT FAIL FC3442010. The radar seems to work fine but after the power up bit completes the CAUTION pops up, troubleshooting the fault isolation for this fault codes nothing looks bad. I replaced all the LRUs and the ECBUs which apply power to the system. Any hint?

I have Prepar 3- 5v flight simulator and have watched Utube videos on start up of the C-130 but could not find an actual written check list procedure as to how to start the 4 engines. Where can I obtain a written list to preform this or any other lists for the C-130? Thanks! email: [email protected]
