Hello all herc operators, maintainers and lovers! Can someone kindly tell me that what would be the options of propeller feathering if essential AC is lost or the Prop Aux Pump becomes unserviceable. How much would the propeller be feathered through the condition lever, if at all?

I have an ECHS problem. One of our strech J's has all of the RH pallet locks, and PLCUs, not communicating with the MFCD. Actually it's all RH side and the LH side ramp locks that cannot be controlled/not communicating. Our bird just came back from Depot for the LAIRCM mod and now the pallet locks are jacked up. I've been looking in the WD but can't find anything that's in common with one whole side or the other. Any input is welcome/needed as I'm not too "savy" on this particular system. Hello, new to forum. Milky name is Eric and I work for the Naval Airworthiness office and I am responsible for C-130 flight clearances. Some may already know that that our T’s our grounded. And we’re looking to expedite the installation of the NP2000 to get our fleet back in the air. Would anyone enable to point me in the right direction of understanding what the technical differences are for the AF C-130H? I know they use a -15A engine vs -16 for Navy C-130T’s. Figured this forum would be a good place to start looking.

WC-130h PRT AF Hi everyone pls help As to start calibrating the torque indicator it indicates aprox. -800lbs. After reseting to the 29850lbs with cal A with -4000lbs and cal B with 25850lbs still with neg torque all checks done and recheck wiring , gapping and so on. To put positive torque cal A must have -2340lbs and cal B 27200, by the way it torquemeter has 27540lbs from back shop. Are these values normal for service?

Hello. C-130H mechanics! I have a question about C-130H prop' dynamic balancing. We are currently using the VXP equipment C-130H prop' balancing data collection is HSGI and 7000 in-lbs We performed a check both of which exceeded the limit(within 0.2 ips) However, reducing ips of 7000 in- lbs increases ips of HSGI Is it normal for HSGI's ips to go too high when ips is reduced to 7000 in-lbs? Can it be corrected inversely? If so, which section should IPS be based on?

Hi there, During landing, it was a very smooth landing - 4 engines to Flight Idle, 1000/1200 PSI each. - 4 engines to Ground Idle, the torque is increased and no-reverse is experienced in four engines. - The power cannot be lowered and the landing run is made with between 5000/6000 PSI (GI) - Brakes are burnt The blades never went to reverse pitch, is it possible that because of the smooth landing the touchdown relay was relieved during a short "flotation" period (1 or 2 seconds) and it prevented the four propellers from going to reverse angle..? hello guys. i work on the c-130j. i am curious about the releationship between Np sensor and generator. while starting the engine, HDD displayed Np 'xxxx' and at the same time it indicated 'Gen Fail' ACAWS message. this problem disappeared after Np sensor exchange. is the failure of the Np sensor related th the generator(GCU)? i waiting for ur opinion!

Hello, I'm new to this lovely website and forum, I found that quite a lot of you here are quite knowledgeable ( spent some time reading threads ) about Hercs and wondered if you could help me on a confusing situation. I'm part of a structural engineering support and our MRO is new to C-130s. We have a model 382C in horrible condition and I can't proceed too much in details because of our contract, I will most likely have to remove ( or edit, at best ) the thread in case I wrote anything too "accurate". Sadly, our situation is very complicated and because of this very peculiar situation, we have limited access to documentation and communications are hard to deal …
